Probably.

I believe Virginia’s music is Pharrell from his collab with Daft Punk. Mark Warner speaking.

That’s my amazing home state and Tony encapsulates it. Loved that they played the Badger tradition “Jump Around” too!

You know he's going to be thinking for a long time about how he botched that. Poor guy.

Loved the Jump Around!

Yes the Harris/walz campaign had to license each and every song. Great setlist.

NP. This is making me proud. For context, I regularly get called a MAGA on this site because I don’t agree with the LWNJ on a lot of issues and the LWNJ posters demand complete partisan allegiance. (I think the progressive left is generally awful and destructive.) But this is making me so happy. Just showing up here as a complete moderate.

If you had told me that the Tupac song we dance to at college parties would be played at the DNC, I wouldn’t have believed you.

Now it’s Kendrick Lamar.

I love this!

I’m hearing “cringy” all over tik tok. Of course, nothing else, just “cringy”. Would you care to elaborate on what made it “cringy”?

I watched and found nothing cringy at all. Maybe it's just a talking point republicans were prepared to blast on social media hoping they could mislead folks who didn't watch?

What's cringy about the married couple talking about their devastation having a miscarriage and then the bleeding wife not being given any medical care due to Trump's policies and judges. I appreciated a man (just like Tim Walz did re: IVF) speaking about how reproductive freedom for women is a man's issue too and will impact men. What's cringey about a young woman explaining how current abortion laws in some states wouldn't have allowed her to get an abortion despite incest when she was raped at 12: "how is it a beautiful thing for a child to give birth to her father's child?"

What was cringy about Warnock's oratory? Or Biden's forceful and emotional speech? Or Jasmine Crockett? Or HRC?

Perhaps they didn't like Harris being humanized by people who've known her for decades? Or Biden being praised by his wife and only surviving daughter?

It appears that some republicans are so used to a diet of cynicism and negativity that genuine joy and hope and unity causes them to cringe. I feel fortunate that I don't feel that way. Several times last night I had to rub tears from my eye or felt genuine happiness and I'm grateful for it.

Well stated.

It’s amazing that the roll call had both celebrities and hometown charm at the same time.
