It doesn’t sound like Teresa either. She is totally in it for the win and then will move on. |
Hand picked by whom? A group of twenty something producers who give the required nod to diversity? He would have eliminated half of those women the first night. |
Sounds like they're just living their lives as usual and maybe spending time together occasionally. Will fizzle out. Here's the interview link: https://www.indystar.com/story/entertainment/2023/11/14/golden-bachelor-gerry-turner-indianapolis-date-airport-orange-juice-hudson-indiana-leslie-theresa/71577818007/ |
Yeah, what's the point of having a third house if they still want their regular lives at their original homes to continue? And this is the fundamental problem with GB. Little to no flexibility to uproot at that age. |
Except it was Faith who effectively broke it off, by insisting that she can’t move because she wanted to stay near her dead horse. We’ve been saying all along that at that age it’s hard to leave family and friends. I respect Faith for bringing that up, because it’s been the elephant in the room all along. But you can’t blame him for her wanting to stay near her dead horse. |
+1 That's his idea of a good time? Eh. |
Also, doesn't sound like they're engaged. |
I mean, he doesn't come across as a horrible jerk or anything. However, despite the fact that he clearly enjoyed being surrounded by attractive women, he doesn't seem like he's really sufficiently over the death of his wife to be ready to be in a serious relationship. |
People like him because he is pleasant, tall, and has a full head of hair. But he's quite boring. Most of the women are more interesting than he is. Sounds like producers gave him a glowup as well: temporary caps, tan, suits. |

I think faith is devastated
and wonder if worth it all Yes Jerry is likable Nobody says he is not It was a fun time for these women I am sure but nobody would be upset except for the last three and the potential heartbreak And there already is, Faith Heartbreak is very hard and nobody wants This is a huge tv show to have been picked and part of so of course they are all going to have loved it and say I think he picks Leslie because of her sexiness, something he was not use to but wanted Simple as that Theresa will be devastated It is a bitter pill at 70 He will be fine Women won’t |
| Is it really necessary to free verse these thoughts, PP? |
| Why didn’t Gerry pick Faith? |
Faith is just fine. You don't need to turn her into a victim. She knew that she was unwilling to leave Washington, and that she needed to tell Gerry that. https://people.com/golden-bachelor-faith-martin-has-lingering-feelings-gerry-turner-exclusive-8399689#:~:text=Still%2C%20Faith%20accepts%20that%20her,for%20him%2C%E2%80%9D%20Faith%20says. And : https://katiecouric.com/entertainment/movies-tv/why-did-gerry-eliminate-faith-the-golden-bachelor/ BTW -- Faith is good friends with Theresa and Susan, and Faith's guess is that it's Theresa at the end b/c of how Gerry would look at Theresa during the filming. |
Because he has zero interest in making 32-hour trips to rural WA. |
I believe this, and that producers were careful not to show us the looks in order not to give it away. Women have great instincts about these things. Here's the quote: "During the whole show, I would always look at Gerry when he looked at another woman to see what his reaction was. So first, I thought it was going to be Ellen because she’s so stunning. But then I looked at how he looked at her and I thought, “No, he’s not in love with her.” From day one, he kind of had this gushy feeling about him every time he looked at Theresa. So my thought was, “Hmm, that’s my competition right there.” And she’s my friend. With Leslie, I never saw him look at her that way — but they obviously had a growing relationship, too. But if I had to have guessed [after my elimination], I would have said Theresa." |
