I watched the whole thing last night. Way to cherry-pick NPR. There was no debunking. In fact, the point was proven. Baker spent most of the time not answering anything. Every Democrat expressed ‘concern’ about wasting ‘the people’s’ time because they don’t want the lies told out there and more dug up. Roth said point blank that things were out of control. Evidence was shown re: labels known only to Twitter were put on conservative accounts that hamstrung those accounts. The ‘algorithm wasn’t hard-coded’ was a joke - it doesn’t have to be. It was used at will. The ‘we ejected Trump because he was violating bullying terms, etc’ is hilarious considering Iran and Isis tweets are still there. Elvis Chan from the FBI (as well as others) were manipulating Twitter employees. What was uncovered was a cesspool of partisan behavior.

The Dems don't want to waste time because it's a witch hunt fabricated as a stunt by House Republicans.

Maybe Elon should ban Dems from Twitter for one election cycle.

Oh please. 99.99% of conservatives WERE NOT banned. And the ones who were banned got banned because they clearly and repeatedly broke the Twitter ToS. And even that was only after much internal Twitter hand wringing.

That’s not true. There was a lot of partisan tagging that deliberately hamstrung accounts from sharing information. The idea that medical doctors were unable to share information on Covid - some from the CDC’s own website, was a stunning revelation.

Ban them for what? Name some Dem politicians who repeatedly violated the Twitter terms of service. Link to some examples.

It’s a private company, they can ban anyone for no reason at all. It would be funny to watch the heads explode if they did.

The regular meetings with the FBI were a huge issue. The coincidence of the FBI stating that the Russians were going to plant false info about Biden and a laptop - and then it occurred - was beyond manipulative. I think Roth tried to fight back (the only one it seems) but I’m sure the pressure was enormous.

If it’s a private company and they can ban anyone for no reason at all, your claims of “witch-hunt” are nullified.

I sense you lack the awareness to have grasped this.

And, if that reason is that a government official told them to, THAT, my dear, is against the law.

So when Trump asked Twitter to ban the objectionable tweet from Cissy Theigs, that was illegal.

I agree.

People were banned for posting things about COVID that were in fact false - for example the false claims by Robert Malone and others suggesting the vaccines were ineffectual, or worse yet, claiming that the vaccines were more dangerous than COVID itself.

Not at all true. There were doctors banned for tweeting CDC information. Also 'false claims' like menstrual cycles being affected, myocarditis in boys, etc.

None of it was illegal. It's fine for any administration to ask to review a tweet. To force them to remove it, is not so Kosher. Trump did not do that. .

How that works when you state the laptop isn't even yours is beyond me, but Hunter just opened himself up to discovery.

I hope the defense goes for hunter's throat.

That is all.

Republicans' conception of the Biden family never ceases to amaze me. Joe is senile, but deftly uses his influence to secretly enrich himself. Hunter is a screwup drug addict, but also masterfully orchestrates business deals under the radar. He has a lot to hide, but also doesn't mind opening himself up to discovery. Weird!

Joe's cognitive ability has deteriorated in the past 6 years. A lot.
I can't wait to hear about Hunter's business deals. It seems as if the million dollars in China funds distributed by Rob Walker, Hunter's associate, to 4 members of the Biden family was not used for ANY business deals. Time will tell.

And, his lawsuit is a joke. The shop keeper has the receipt that Hunter signed that said abandoned laptops would become property of the store owner 90 days after repair if the customer defaulted on the contract.
The shopkeeper tried repeatedly to contact Hunter by email and by phone to no avail.

He is going to go after everyone involved - Giuliani, Fox, Hannity, Tucker, etc. Hunter is not a public figure.
