GOP-led hearings backfire; Taibbi narrative debunked, House GOP with egg on its face.

And Elon's still a complete shitheel for hiring Taibbi and playing to morons like Gym Jordan. |
I watched the whole thing last night. Way to cherry-pick NPR. There was no debunking. In fact, the point was proven. Baker spent most of the time not answering anything. Every Democrat expressed ‘concern’ about wasting ‘the people’s’ time because they don’t want the lies told out there and more dug up. Roth said point blank that things were out of control. Evidence was shown re: labels known only to Twitter were put on conservative accounts that hamstrung those accounts. The ‘algorithm wasn’t hard-coded’ was a joke - it doesn’t have to be. It was used at will. The ‘we ejected Trump because he was violating bullying terms, etc’ is hilarious considering Iran and Isis tweets are still there. Elvis Chan from the FBI (as well as others) were manipulating Twitter employees. What was uncovered was a cesspool of partisan behavior. |
This was my take away as well. |
Cool story, bro. More and more keeps surfacing that undermines the narrative that twitter was on some kind of anti-conservative crusade. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/elon-trump-twitter-files-collusion-biden-censorship-1234675969/ |
The Dems don't want to waste time because it's a witch hunt fabricated as a stunt by House Republicans. |
Maybe Elon should ban Dems from Twitter for one election cycle. |
Oh please. 99.99% of conservatives WERE NOT banned. And the ones who were banned got banned because they clearly and repeatedly broke the Twitter ToS. And even that was only after much internal Twitter hand wringing. |
Ban them for what? Name some Dem politicians who repeatedly violated the Twitter terms of service. Link to some examples. |
It’s a private company, they can ban anyone for no reason at all. It would be funny to watch the heads explode if they did. |
Let's be clear, Trump was ejected because he was fomenting seditious conspiracy on their platform. Why do you think it is appropriate for a private platform to be held to a different standard from a different private platform? Twitter is not the Federal Government, which is what the Constitution guarantees. The Constitution does not guarantee "free speech" on private platforms. Way to cherry pick and be selective and loose with facts. |
He has already been doing this, and the irony, the people who have been banned didn't break any terms of service rules. |
"if they did" They already have. People asked "why" but I haven't seen any exploding heads. It is twitters loss for the people who have been banned. They moved on to other platforms and are generating the clicks and traffic there instead of on Twitter. |
Mine, too. Another little tidbit from the hearing...... During the 1st 2 years of Biden's term, the Democratically-led oversight committee brought in exactly ZERO cabinet-level officials to testify. So, any of their whining about the committee conducting oversight falls on deaf ears. |
Those hearings had exposing heads. Greene accused Yoel Roth of being a pedophile, FFS. |
