Why does this thread always come back to BY parents doing mental gymnastics?

Why is there such denial about the consequences of this change? It was said multiple times in earlier pages that the strongest players and teams will choose to stay BY. And now those moves are already happening.

You think that the top ECNL women’s teams are staying BY? Good luck with that prediction.

If your kid isn’t part of “the top ECNL teams” then why are you even chiming in?

She is (well, pre-ECNL). Now go back to your dreamland and let the grown ups talk.

Hahahahah U-little and you’re worried about where she will be if school year comes around in 2 years.

Not worried at all. She’s October and is one of the better players on a top pre-ECNL team. Will be good either way. Move to SY certainly won’t hurt her.

Sounds like it’ll benefit her…it’s the others that are foaming at the mouth that are worried lol

What an idiot. The moment ECNL allows SY, it is game over for GA for college recruiting.

You're the idiot. Rumor is, GA will switch to SY also. ECNL will gain nothing from the switch.

Your logic already proves you are an idiot or low IQ. ECNL will have the better SY team, GA will essentially become a RL level team in another name. That is why you see GA made so much marketing buzz to stay relevant.

Everyone knows ECNL is losing ground. GA is a better league that is better managed and it’s only a matter of time ECNL becomes second fiddle for boys and girls. GA has done more in the few years it’s been around than ECNL did in its first 10. Ride the wave while you can because it’s about to crash.

Anyone want to sum up what the ECNL podcast was about today.

You're right, I am an idiot. Ha! But your an even bigger idiot for being so blindly biased in favor of ECNL over every body else. Everyone knows the ivory tower is the place you find yourself before it comes crashing down. Enjoy your time up there now, looking out over the peasant teams...idiot!

I haven't seen any rumor here or on TS that GA was going SY.

Can any of the GA folks explain, in quantifiable terms, why they think GA is on the upswing? Empirical data suggests they are in big trouble. They are basically broke and had to take yet another loan from the Federation, they keep losing top teams and rumors there may be 2-3 more this cycle, and they are not even placing as many clubs in the top 100 as they did even a year or two ago. I feel like the distance between GA and ECNL is more than the distance between GA and ECRL right now and in a downward trend……..

ECNL will take another top 5 GA teams this fall. GA college recruiting will drop from 20% to single digit next year.

GA teams would not turn down the opportunity to join ECNL which should tell you everything you need to know about which is the better platform.

But GA definitely has some great teams and many who are under rated and could easily compete in ECNL. My daughters GA ranked 3rd in are GA league just beat a local ECNL squad ranked number 1 in their league currently.
