Rules about double rostering between different clubs

There are players who are playing within the same season on both an ECNL and GA team. In fact, the players will compete with one club team one weekend and go to the other one the following weekend then back and forth. How are there not any rules against this?

Different leagues my friend. Im all for playing for however many you want to. It only makes the players better. Thus making everyone better.

+1. If the kid is happy and the clubs/coaches are happy - what's the problem?

What about when an academy player for one club is also playing rec in another clubs system?

Seems fine to me unless expressly forbidden by the rules in which case they shouldn;t do it.

...and frowned upon, but they get away with it. I'd be pissed if I was on the team that brought in the ringer whenever it suited their needs. "Guest Player".

Who cares as long as some hack rec player doesn't hurt the academy player.

Back when I played a million years ago, the travel season in our area (we called it "select soccer") was only for half a year. In the other half everyone would play in rec advanced leagues. There was always one team with most of the select players on it who would crush everyone else.

How long ago was this? I played 1980-1989 and it was year round. WAGs Fall & Spring season; indoor soccer, State Cup and tournaments—even in summer we had 2-3. This was a top team.

And I meant to say yeah—it was called “select”. The masses played Rec, not Select.

There is no governing body to make rules

It’s funny someone is posting on here with the sole purpose of calling people out because they don’t have the balls to do it in real life lol.
