Which single spice you dislike most?

Is there one thing that you dislike so much that if added to the most favorite of your dishes, you want to cry.

For me fennel seeds

Unless it is overpowered by other ones to the point that I know it is there but I can not taste it anymore then fine
but otherwise ugh...

Cinnamon. And it's so common. I don't hate it, but I find most amounts called for in recipes overpowering, so I put maybe a quarter in.

I don’t care for fennel either, but I add extra cinnamon to some recipes!

I really dislike cumin.

+ 1 for Dill. Blech! I also dislike other dried green herbs...parsley, basil. Dislike curry powder.

Love cumin, cinnamon, black mustard seeds, garlic powder is a workhorse.

Not truly a spice but pine nuts.

I had green beans with fresh tarragon on them last night and I did not like it at all. (Is an herb a spice?)

Spices come from the root, bark or seeds of a plant. Herbs come from the leaves of a plant.

For me it’s star anise. That black licorice type of taste is bleh

Fennel and anise as others have mentioned.

Also clove and coriander (I have that gene that makes cilantro taste like soapy medicine).

Anise and fennel are the only ones I hate.

Really dislike nutmeg

Came here to say nutmeg. I omit it from recipes and increase cinnamon.
