Where is the APS Covid data???

Is it just incompetence in reporting data or are they intentionally not updating the dashboard?

It's APS. You're expecting better than incompetence?

https://www.apsva.us/school-year-2020-21/aps-covid-19-dashboard/ -- it was updated last Friday during Spring Break. I imagine it will be updated later today per usual. What's different?

There's something going on with the Qualtrics report, many of us are guessing they put a "March" filter on the link they shared with everyone. It's populated from Qualtrics.

They are referring to the COVID data on the dashboard for students: https://apsva.co1.qualtrics.com/reports/RC/public/YXBzdmEtNjA0MjliZDQzYTI2NjAwMDBmOWFmN2RmLVVSXzJ6QkpuNWJ5ZXo1bGVGWg==

and

Its halfway down the page titled: EMPLOYEE & STUDENT EXCLUSIONS

The staff data is updated. And as of about an hour ago the student data for April 9 appeared. But the student data from April 1 to April 8 is still missing.

I tried making a few calls and sending emails today about it but I don't know if that made them update the April 9 data and/or whether they will fill in the missing back data or not. It's so frustrating because I use that data to figure out whether or not it's safe to send my kids to school, and I have really been looking to see whether our school cases would go up after spring break -- but it's just not there, grrr!

And holy moly, what is up with Carlin Springs student data? Looks like one student got covid and possibly had contact with a bunch of people at the school -- sheesh! Anyway, yeah, this is the kind of thing parents at the schools need to be aware of.

Thanks for the heads up, Wonder if they entered it all in today? The times stamps are in a weird order and it's odd that April 9 starts with a new header.

APS is considering anyone within 6 feet a close contact (even if masked). They contacted all the kids in the class at TJMS when there was a case right around break.

Shocking! Maybe this is why the schools were closed? You think?

Q - someone at my kids school (Claremont) who attends the same days (Th/Fr) reported positive. Should I assume if we didn’t hear about it from the school that person is not in my kids class?

I just looked at it. I’m shocked by what’s NOT on there. I was looking for one I knew of for sure. I am wondering- does the health department automatically report positive tests to APS? If not, then they should.

Are you suggesting you know of a student who attends in person APS who tested positive but does not appear to be listed on the report? Part of returning to school is agreeing to report positive cases. That would be very strange.

I think that APS only reports what comes in under the electronic parental self reporting but I could be wrong.

And I also checked back in and while the student data is still only reflected for April 9 (with a big hole between March 31 and that date), almost all of the "close contacts" that were initially reported just hours ago for Carlin Springs are showing up for KENMORE MIDDLE SCHOOL now, wut?

Earlier today it was reflecting 1 positive test and about 12 close contacts from mostly Tuesday/Wednesday attendees at Carlin Springs. Whereas now the stats are reflecting a positive test at Kenmore for thursday/friday and a dozen close contacts there for the same days. Huh so weird.

What does this mean "Student advised ACPHD remote only"?

Yup. I’m suggesting that.
