Ccl is going to disappear in this area which is why they’ve conned and duped Florida to keep their cash cow afloat. Clubs in VA have started to leave in droves and loudoun and arlington are looking for a way out without losing their clients’ $$$.
This elitist and classist league has 1 year left of life. Finally. |
CCL is now just ECNL |
| Oh, the daily CCL sucks thread. Thanks. |
| Yes ECNL is trying to go deeper and deeper into the player pool by making more divisions. Its not about elite play its about deep pockets. |
You wish people talked about CCL daily |
|
So what DMV clubs exactly have recently pulled out of CCL?
And specifically how does it relate to the U9-U12 scene. That's what will keep it afloat most likely. |
|
So let me get this straight
A thread on the last straw and demise of the Girls Academy Now we have CCL has one year left and is going "extinct" Seems ECNL if your only choice now and in the future. How perfect. One option with tons of lesser divisional options run by one group. Sounds like what every youth soccer player needs |
Yes, we know how Non-profit Soccer leagues want deep pockets. I think they have like 6 office employees, all Billionaires of course. |
| My DD plays in CCL and I say, "who cares". There are too many leagues as it is anyway. |
| what options you have for the teams in south/central virginia, such as Rush, Beach, Legacy, VBR, SKYline, etc? |
EDP can extend south or just keep CCL as more local league. |
| ECNL-RL? Honestly, I don't really care. That's their problem. |
SOCA and Legacy are already out the door to ECNL/GA/ECNL-R, so it puts Beach, Rush, FC Richmond in a tough spot since the rest of CCL is NOVA or north or west. Outside of 1, at best 2, road games, the others are 3.5-4+ hours each way. Not great especially at u11/u12... |
| I would be so thrilled if CCL North folded and NCSL (and EDP) were left standing below ECNL and MLS Next. |
Where would 3/4/5 team of large clubs play at since NCSL only allows 2 per club per age/gender? No more ODSL so NCSL would have to relax this rule. |
