| Has anyone received their results yet? DC took it about 9 weeks ago. |
| Nope, and no scores posted to ParentVue yet either. Mine took theirs in late February. |
|
They said 6 weeks, but nothing. I have also checked paret vue, but nothing ...
Op |
| Haven’t ever seen the scores in ParentVUE. It’s been just a letter mailed home before |
| It has been 8 weeks now, seems like an excessive amount of time to get the scores. |
| maybe they all flunked due to a year + of no math instruction and FCPS is trying to figure out what to do |
AAP teacher here. The window was Jan through March. There were also makeup days. The testing people also have to organize materials and send back to a location in FCPS. Then FCpS mails to grading. Grades get sent to school first and the school will share with parents. In normal years when we give it in Jan we hear back in March. I would think mid-end of April is more likely this year. |
|
From Jan to Mar can be 6 weeks (last week of January to first week of March), or it can be 12 weeks ( first week of Jan to last week of March).
I’m actually surprised that this year would take longer, because they have all the technological infrastructure in place to make the reporting faster. Who knows!! Still nothing on parentvue. |
| No results received here. The fcps website said scores would be distributed in April. |
| Wouldn’t students taking test in march skew towards a higher testing result than those in January ? |
| Maybe, but I think they account for that. |
| Yes, most standardized tests are age-adjusted. The score will change based on the taker’s age (in months, so don’t worry) |
I hadn’t considered that the IAAT would be age adjusted. Sweet if so, my kid is young for the grade. |
| ^^ me again - I don’t feel like they should be graded against kids in non pandemic times? I feel you would need that data for age norming. I feel like they should only be normed again fcps 6th graders this year. But what do I know. |
| The fact that they are taking so long feels like something is up. |
