Three words for you: Virginia, Alabama, Wisconsin. |
Right? Where's the money from Mexico? |
New York, whose residents by an overwhelming 80% support DACA. That only slightly overperforms the 75% of the rest of the country who also support DACA. The people arguing against this are in the deep minority opinion on this issue. |
Drinking methanol again. |
Trump is stupid enough to think that Mexico will pay because there is a trade deficit, or something. He only hires the best. |
So is McConnell going to change the rules so 45 votes will carry the day? Because he couldn't get everyone in his caucus to vote for this, and I would be willing to bet that if he tries to change this, the 5 Dems who voted with the GOP would vote against this on principle. |
Who is Ivan and what is borscht? Try as you may lefties with your Russian rhetoric, it's as fake as the collusion... err obstruction... err fill in the blank motive to impeach Trump. |
You mean like the way McConnell sat on hundreds of judicial nominations including for the Supreme Court? Hypocrisy much? You know what? Obama had a bi-partisan immigration bill that the GOP wouldn't bring to the floor. So if you want to go to root causes, learn a little recent history. |
| Which is worse - the 10 Democratic Senators up for re-election voting for the Schumer Shutdown or those 10 Democratic Senators doing it again today and losing re-election this fall? |
DP. Yes, you live in Bethesda and clean up wreaths at Arlington in your spare time. Get it right, PP. |
Well, as more jobs are lost (see Carrier, Walmart, AT&T), I think this will be an easy one. No matter how much Trump brays about it, those people in Wisconsin do not give a sh!t about the stock market. |
Public sentiment is overwhelmingly against the GOP on this. I think those 10 Senators can feel safe with their constituency given how things have turned out for the GOP on the electoral front over the past 3 months. Virginia: landslide disaster for the GOP. Alabama: Catastrophic. Wisconsin: Doom clouds pending. |
Where are you getting your information? Voting on Friday was along party lines 55-44. Rs clearly have 59 votes. |
If that were true, Obama could have gotten actual legislation passed reforming immigration rather than try to do it by executive fiat. He had a pen and a phone but now Trump has it. What 75% of the country supports is immigration reform. Not necessarily the lefts version. You idiots on the left don't even have a majority in the Senate for what you want, and never have, and that's the problem: Obama acted as if a king and without garnering legislative or national support for what he did. In contrast, Trump is waiting for Congress to bring him a bipartisan bill to sign. He's not pretending to be King of the country. The left doesn't grasp what separation of powers means and are in love with authoritarian government rather than messy democracy. You falsely accuse trump of being a fascist but then whine when he acts like the opposite of a fascist. |
