Love this -- I assume that auto-correct capitalized Garner? Brian must be thrilled.

Is it time for the Nuclear Option in the Senate like Trump just suggested?

MCConnell May realize that the GOP could lose the NV and AZ Senate seats in 2018 and the majority in the Senate. In that case, he will be screwing himself by going nuclear on this. Trump don’t care though. Trump doesn’t think long term. He’s focused on today’s news cycle.

Ah, so no good deed planned for today. Sad.

BTW, how do you know "the left" was not there? Did you personally go and interview everyone?

Funded the original amount requested by the Administration: $1.8B. They haven’t spent anything close to the $300M+ provided in the CR for FY17.

The actions in the House yesterday by the Left was sad. Twice they requested that the words of Congressman get pulled back only to later rescind the request. They are sore losers who use parliamentary procedures to disrupt instead of running on ideas. The Democratic party will be a non factor for years or perhaps decades to come.

You’re entitled to your own opinion, not your own facts.

Which is worse - the left continued spiral of "Resist" that isn't working or the left's continued spiral of irrelevance in a Constitutional Republic?

I am upset that Schumer prioritises undocumented over locking in the six year chip extension.

The Republicans could put a standalone CHIP bill on the floor at any time and it would pass with bipartisan support. You should be upset that the Republicans are using poor children as hostages.

Standalone chip- I agree.

How about a stand-alone budget? Schumer filibustering that one.

Thee bills that would pass are standalone DACA, Standalone CHIP and standalone budget. The dems don't trust the GIP to bring the first two to the floor (both could have been done any time over the past 4 months, but McConnell refused) so are simply asking for these popular bills to be brought together.

Why is McConnell refusing?

He has already betrayed Sen Collins on healthcare. He is proving to not be a reliable partner in this and it is being exposed, bigly.

How about a stand alone wall?

People know Schumer puts illegals kids over chip, and may he rot in hell for it.

I agree. Before we discuss how to reward parents for illegally entering this country by bestowing full benefits on their kids, let's first focus on the wall to prevent more of the same.

If a burglar breaks into your house, steals your jewelry, and pawns it to give money to his kids, would you first figure out whether to allow the kids to keep the money - or would you put a better lock in your door to prevent it from recurring?

The facts aren't with you on this. First, illegal crossings have been down every year since 2002. Second, most illegals are here because they overstayed a legal visa, not from sneaking across the Rio Grande in the dark of night.

In reality, facts matter. Not alternative facts, but real ones.

What?? Close to a million tax-paying Americans will may have no paycheck for a month, thanks to the Dems' first priority of defending illegals, and she's celebrating at a fancy restaurant at taxpayer expense? I sure hope the witch paid for it. She's a multi-millionnaire.

Who heads all branches of government!!!!

That has nothing to do with it. Dems have thrown up a roadblock: Give the entitled DACA brats amnesty, or we shut down the government! And they did.

Lesson: Dema favor the interests of illegal immigrants over the welfare of American citizens. We always knew that, since it was the #1 issue that decided the election, but the Dems seem to be going to extremes to prove it. Idiots.

(FWIW, I say let the DACA adults stay here as legal residents, NOT citizens, but that decision will be deferred until after the building of the wall has been completed - say, five more years.)

You are being intellectually dishonest if you can't acknowledge the roll the GOP played during 8 years of the Obama presidency, much less Marrick Garland asking you to hold his beer.

Even with the nuclear option, the GOP doesn’t have the votes? Hey

Trump and McConnell don’t even have 50 votes. McConnell refuses to put clean DACA and CHIP bills to a floor vote. McConnell forced through the tax bill using reconciliation without CBO scoring and committee hearings. Few even had the chance to even read the bill. This has nothing to do with “parliamentary procedures” by Democrats. But keep blathering your nonsense about the “left” and their “disruption.”
