Man, I feel like Simon stole my analysis from earlier this morning. Pay me my money, Simon!

A broken clock is correct twice a day. President Trump is going to annihilate Biden and the Democrats as Bibi will make sure the Gaza extermination is front and center through Election Day. Pair that with Bibi loyalists manning a Patriot battery while am “oops we didn’t see that missile” takes out the American mulberry harbor along with hundreds of Americans and Biden is D.U.N. DONE.

You sound weirdly excited that the GOP is probably coordinating with Netanyahu…

They did it in 2016, so why stop there?

Indeed. Russiagate 2016 is foreign interference in American politics for fantasy readers. Israel being too deep into American politics, including being way in the tank for Trump in 2016, is interference for realists.

The Republican led senate intel report on Russian interference disagrees with you.

It’s just smart business. The Hamas attack has given Bibi an excuse to level Hamas and split the Democrat Party. Letting Hamas or Hezbollah or Iran smoke the Mulberry pier with a well-placed missile would destroy Biden’s campaign.

Same thing with the hue and cry about Trump not building a campaign infrastructure and having no money etc. Biden’s playing the wrong sport; Trump knows that the election is football and not basketball. Trump and the Republicans don’t NEED a get out the vote program because they have already have a free KEEP OUT THE VOTE effort made up of police officers and paramilitaries who True the Vote.

Stopping a sure Biden voter from voting pays off WAY more than wasting time trying to convince marginals to turn out and vote for you. Since Biden voters are concentrated in dense urban areas, the payoff from a squad car and paramilitary volunteers in full combat gear with AR-15s locked and loaded is simply enormous. You harass a few and the rest run and hide—like what mice do when a tomcat shows up. Yeah, the mice might be in the walls, but if they don’t show up they don’t really count.

“ The New York Times/Siena College survey of 4,097 registered voters in six battleground states — Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — showed that around 13% of voters who backed President Joe Biden in 2020 but won’t support his reelection cited his management of the war in Gaza as their primary reason.”

This means 87% of people who are turned off from Biden are doing it for reasons other than Hamas-Israel war. Also, the 13% includes *both* people who want Biden to be less pro-Israel and people who want Biden to be more pro-Israel.
It seems to me Biden gets support back by improving the economy, not by bending his foreign policy one way or another

I’m so disheartened. I think Trump will win. It’s like a game to so many older voters. And young voters are so angry.

Blame the DNC for not forcing Joe out after one term.

It's so weird that you think there is some group of people that could somehow force him out. That's not how it works.

Then at the very least, someone should have had a "come to Jesus" meeting with Biden and reminded him of his "only one term transitional candidate" quasi promise.

Look. I wish Biden had not run and that there had been a real Democratic primary. I really thought for the longest time that he would wait until the last possible moment to bow out so that he wouldn’t be a lame duck too early. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. It’s not really clear to me why everyone hates him so much though. He’s such an improvement over Trump and unemployment is low, we didn’t have a recession.

But here we are and I think Trump will get elected.

The survey results in NYTimes poll are interesting. Look at this question:

"How satisfied are you with the way things are going in your life these days?"
Net Satisfied: 74%
Net Unsatisfied: 22%

I mean, that is a shocking spread. The vast majority of the country is satisfied with their lives. People are really just looking for something to complain about and the media environment bombards them with negative messaging.

I think they still come home for Biden. I would be flabbergasted if 77% of country that is "satisfied" with their life dumps the incumbent. Americans just really, really like to whine.

The other thing that really strikes me is that the poll has the Democrat winning comfortably in each of the Senate races in the 4 states with races. 3 of those are incumbents. If people are so upset with the status quo and democratic policies, why are they saying they're going to vote for the democratic incumbent senators? There's a lot that doesn't add up.

It is very interesting. If current polling holds, it seems likely that Democrats will hold the Senate and take the House while Donald Trump becomes president. I think this is a result that many Americans will consider to be ideal given available options. The vast majority of Americans don't identify with the far left or the far right. This result would keep the extremes in check.

As for Biden, there are a lot of reasons he's going to lose. He's not only far too old, but he really presents himself as someone who is far too old for the presidency. He'll be 86 for goodness sake. I don't know what Jill Biden was thinking encouraging her geriatric husband to run for reelection. There should have been a stern talking to.

Then add the issues that people really care about. Inflation over the past four years. It really has made life a lot harder for the vast majority of Americans that live paycheck to paycheck. Immigration. More than 10 million illegal migrants from around the world have streamed across the border since Biden became president. Absolutely everyone in America thinks that's out of control. Trans-women. In reality it's a non-issue, but it does hit a nerve with a lot of women and is an easily exploitable issue. Israel-Gaza. There's no win anywhere for Biden. Progressives won't vote for Biden over this issue. And the rest of America looks upon the protestors as terrorist sympathizers. Hopeless issue for Biden. And abortion is not going to save the day for Biden. It's become a state by state local issue. And with voters willing to split tickets, those votes will be cast down ballot.

Democrats really should have nominated someone else if they had wanted to keep the White House. Trump is the most beatable candidate in history. Any 55 year old with a pulse and some common sense would beat him. But here we are.

There is no situation where Trump is president and "the extremes are in check"

Having a mobster narcissist surrounded by 'yes-men' in the White House is a lose-lose for the United States of America.

No, it's a win-win based on his sensible policies. You're so far to the left that you can't see it.

BTW, Americans cheer an underdog, and in all four court cases Trump is the underdog. But please continue with the political persecution.

What MAGAs call "political persecution" the rest of the sane country calls "rule of law"

it is sad how far the GOP has fallen and sad that you are so far the right that you can't see it.

Let us know when Biden is prosecuted for keeping classified documents in his garage.

Exactly.

Your constant wanking off to the “great reset” is really boring.
This is the politics forum, not fantasy forum.

For the millionth time, the reason he wasn’t prosecuted is because he cooperated and returned everything. Trump instructed staff to hide it all when he knew they were coming to get it after lying about and not cooperating. Are you really too dull to understand the difference or just dishonest?

No - he wasn't prosecuted because he is old, cognitively impaired, and didn't appear to know what he had done... despite the fact that some of those classified docs were taken during the time he was a SENATOR!
Go figure....... I guess his cognitive decline has been happening for a while.

You are truly an idiot.

Getting increasingly clear with each day that Turnip is going to win the election. All he needs is to be no more than 2% behind Biden nationally to win easily, and he's averaging a 1.2% lead ahead of Biden. Which really hasn't changed meaningfully for months and months now.

Everyone has already made up their minds. Nothing is going to change between now and November. Which is bad news for Biden and good news for Turnip.

Heck, Turnip might even win the popular vote this time too!

All this for a guy who tried to overturn an election. WTF is wrong with people? Are you that stupid? He tried to overturn an election? What do you think would have happened if he succeeded? Do you think the US would have gone on it's merry way? You would have had troops in the street. Is that what you really want?

This forum is full of trolls and MAGA fanatics and it’s not real life. The polls are just a snapshot in time and right now, Trump is out of the news. Once he starts campaigning and people hear his voice they’ll be reminded of what they don’t like.

In other words, polls don’t vote, people do. And dems have been over performing for years. They just flips a seat in WI that went 35points to Trump.

Worry less, do more. Give Biden $5 and volunteer.

Send your $5 to an abortion access fund that is doing the work Biden’s government isn’t.

You want people to vote for Biden? Work on your candidate, not your electorate. Which is what people have been saying on this board for months.

Republican sheriffs, LEOs and paramilitaries are going to run the Mother of voter suppression campaigns. Trump by 6 after they’re done.
