So we are going to elect as president a man who tried to overturn the last election? This country is screwed up. Folks, you are going to love the tariffs, lack of reproductive rights, climate change gone wild, internment camps, and violence. Congratulations!
I’m so disheartened. I think Trump will win. It’s like a game to so many older voters. And young voters are so angry.
Blame the DNC for not forcing Joe out after one term.
It's so weird that you think there is some group of people that could somehow force him out. That's not how it works.
Then at the very least, someone should have had a "come to Jesus" meeting with Biden and reminded him of his "only one term transitional candidate" quasi promise.
Look. I wish Biden had not run and that there had been a real Democratic primary. I really thought for the longest time that he would wait until the last possible moment to bow out so that he wouldn’t be a lame duck too early. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. It’s not really clear to me why everyone hates him so much though. He’s such an improvement over Trump and unemployment is low, we didn’t have a recession. But here we are and I think Trump will get elected.
The survey results in NYTimes poll are interesting. Look at this question: "How satisfied are you with the way things are going in your life these days?" Net Satisfied: 74% Net Unsatisfied: 22% I mean, that is a shocking spread. The vast majority of the country is satisfied with their lives. People are really just looking for something to complain about and the media environment bombards them with negative messaging. I think they still come home for Biden. I would be flabbergasted if 77% of country that is "satisfied" with their life dumps the incumbent. Americans just really, really like to whine.
The other thing that really strikes me is that the poll has the Democrat winning comfortably in each of the Senate races in the 4 states with races. 3 of those are incumbents. If people are so upset with the status quo and democratic policies, why are they saying they're going to vote for the democratic incumbent senators? There's a lot that doesn't add up.
It is very interesting. If current polling holds, it seems likely that Democrats will hold the Senate and take the House while Donald Trump becomes president. I think this is a result that many Americans will consider to be ideal given available options. The vast majority of Americans don't identify with the far left or the far right. This result would keep the extremes in check. As for Biden, there are a lot of reasons he's going to lose. He's not only far too old, but he really presents himself as someone who is far too old for the presidency. He'll be 86 for goodness sake. I don't know what Jill Biden was thinking encouraging her geriatric husband to run for reelection. There should have been a stern talking to. Then add the issues that people really care about. Inflation over the past four years. It really has made life a lot harder for the vast majority of Americans that live paycheck to paycheck. Immigration. More than 10 million illegal migrants from around the world have streamed across the border since Biden became president. Absolutely everyone in America thinks that's out of control. Trans-women. In reality it's a non-issue, but it does hit a nerve with a lot of women and is an easily exploitable issue. Israel-Gaza. There's no win anywhere for Biden. Progressives won't vote for Biden over this issue. And the rest of America looks upon the protestors as terrorist sympathizers. Hopeless issue for Biden. And abortion is not going to save the day for Biden. It's become a state by state local issue. And with voters willing to split tickets, those votes will be cast down ballot. Democrats really should have nominated someone else if they had wanted to keep the White House. Trump is the most beatable candidate in history. Any 55 year old with a pulse and some common sense would beat him. But here we are.
There is no situation where Trump is president and "the extremes are in check" Having a mobster narcissist surrounded by 'yes-men' in the White House is a lose-lose for the United States of America.
No, it's a win-win based on his sensible policies. You're so far to the left that you can't see it. BTW, Americans cheer an underdog, and in all four court cases Trump is the underdog. But please continue with the political persecution.
What MAGAs call "political persecution" the rest of the sane country calls "rule of law" it is sad how far the GOP has fallen and sad that you are so far the right that you can't see it.
Let us know when Biden is prosecuted for keeping classified documents in his garage.
Exactly.
