Exactly. This tracks with his statement about the timeline of events. Instead of simply turning over the conservatorship records, they ran to hire Marty Singer. Definitely makes me think they're hiding something, but time will tell!

So? What is his causation and damages?

Doesn’t matter to the movie proceeds issue. They need to account for that regardless. But that is a different issue

He might not be dumb. But he has a 1.3 GPA. Too low for the NCAA. Without the support he gat form the family, could he have made it. Possible. Juco, other ways. But is it likely? No not really. In any event this was his path. It is both of them together that made this happen.

There is an NCAA lower limit. No colleges cannot do anything. They could admit and then help but no college would do this. This is on the student, family, and current school.

This may explain why he didn't know about the conservatorship still being in effect. He may have expected it to end at 25, but it never did. If he didn't get the final document from the court, he would not have known about it.

Travel teams/private coaches usually help with that.

Yes. They manage to get around it all the time.

I have no inside knowledge into this situation. Nor do any of you really.

But re: NCAA and grades, maybe some will work with the kids who have lower GPAs. But not all. And there is a minimum. One kid at our HS had a college coach walk out of a meeting with him after seeing his GPA and told him that was a nonstarter. THe kid was very open about that with his team.

IDK, what would the damages be if you found out today your family is not your family.
