I'm gonna take a while guess that there has been no MOU signed yet between MD and MoCo to actually open this site.

Sounded like they do not have any extra supply from the State to give out at it yet though.

Is it true? From baobao’s comment section:
“ certainly hope it is the objective State criteria not the county’s biased approach. My 91-year old mother with serious co-morbidities and who lives in Rockville finally got her first dose on the LAST day before the county reduced the age from 75 to 65. She lives in a high minority zip code but is not a minority. My 67-year old wife who is Hispanic has not only been offered a vaccination on-line, but when she didn’t respond, the county called her to “schedule a convenient time”. In the meantime, I am two years older (in the same Gaithersburg zip code), I have co-morbidities and as a male generally I have a worse outcome profile from Covid than she does as but as f this comment I have heard NOTHING from the county!
It is clear that the county has biased vaccine agenda that extends well beyond targeting “high risk” zip codes. It selects favored people within zip codes and even within families.”

I haven't done preregistration in MC bc I have no interest to be a subject of racial profiling and discrimination by our government. I wish I was wrong. It is outrageous if this kind racial discrimination happens in MC.

Oh you mean, the rate we’re going which amounts to 2.47 million vaccinations per day, and amounts to the 3rd highest per capita vaccination rate in the world, when it comes to using vaccines not from Russia and China? The list is:

Israel — Pfizer
UAE — a combination of Pfizer, AZ, Sputnik, and Sinopharm
UK — AZ, Pfizer, and Moderna
Chile — same as UAE
Bahrain — same as UAE
USA — J&J, Pfizer, and Moderna

I preregistered but did not designate my race. I am white and live in a primarily BIPOC neighborhood. I know for a fact the county is proactively trying to prioritize people of color, but I'm not sure they are sophisticated enough to do what the man quoted is surmising. The county's IT systems are horrible.

This reads like your wife pre- registered, you decided not to do this, and you’re outraged and deeming it “racial discrimination “ because the person who pre-registered was contacted and the person who did not pre-register was not contacted? Okaaaaaay.

You realize they are closing the Richard Montgomery and the Quince Orchard site? So thy take 2 away and add 1 that is not as convenient to the central part of the county or transit options.
