I appreciate that it has opened in Germantown. It is economically more disadvantaged and it is also more diverse. |
| So did someone in the Montgomery Government speak too soon about the vax site? |
|
Some council members "jumped the gun" on announcing a vaccination site. -Hogan
From the Q&A |
RM site was a terrible location. I tried going there one day to pick something up for DC, and omg... traffic was backed up to almost Maryland Ave on Fleet. No traffic cop or anything. We ended up turning around and not getting what we went there for. And with kids coming back to school, they need to find a different place for vax site. |
It was a fine site that was run poorly. With kids coming back then use MC Rockville. They are still not going to have more vaccines especially with the state now announcing phase 2 while Montgomery County is in 1b |
April 27 |
Quoting myself to ask if anybody knows who first made the announcement about the mass vaccination site. |
Uh, it won’t be open until almost May. Meanwhile PG has already opened a second mass vaccination site, just a few miles from the Six Flags site. Way to go, Elrich.
|
I am not the person made comment on BB site. I believe he said both his wife and him were registered everywhere, including MC. His wife was offered the vaccine by Montgomery County although his wife is two years younger and healthier than him. Montgomery County encourages everyone to preregister, including people who are not currently eligible to receive vaccine. |
April 27th isn’t “almost May” |

Good. As expected. I don't know what people are whining about. The USA is a leader in vaccination rates. |
Dr. Stoddard did during a Board of Health meeting (Council sits as the Board of Health). Tuesday, March 16. I trust Dr. Stoddard implicitly, regardless of what the politics are. He's really good. |
The roads there don't lend itself to be a "fine" mass vax site. It was a mess. Glad they moved it. |
It was a mess 1 day it is fine every single school day that fills the lots. |
