End of CCL? Or second and third Skyline teams take CCL spots going forward? I wonder if Skyline will end up picking off NOVA talent to play there. Their facilities are second to none: https://www.skylineelitesc.org/field-house/ |
| Whoa boy |
Nope. Same distance as Richmond. |
| makes me wonder if they will get girls next year. That is how Arlington got in. |
Whoa boy is right!! HQ in Richmond is going straight at Charlottesville HQ. The power of the league is dealt a major blow. |
Huh |
The girls are joining GA next year: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/956936.page |
Lol. We know. And ECNL could snatch them anytime they wanted |
| I think this is a good move for both. Now we need a Virginia Beach team added to ECNL. |
you must think that everyone gets a trophy for participating. There isn't that many "elite" teams and also this does is water down the league so it will be a bigger ccl. |
How do you figure? Do you think that girls in Charlottesville are travelling to any of the current ECNL clubs? I would guess definitely not. This has no effect on the watering down from that perspective. |
Hand is out like candy until it’s worthless huh |
Huh? You must not know geography. This isn't adding another northern virginia team and diluting talent. There might be a kid or two Charlottesville kids that travel to join Richmond, but not many. Skyline has decent teams. Not really sure what you are talking about. |
| Congrats Skyline FKA SOCA. Sorry to see you leave CCL, but that seems to be the current fad. I always liked going to C-Ville for games. Nice area. |
I know my geography. It's like CCL but a bigger scale. Crappy teams still play CCL 1 because you have to have a team in the top division. BRYC is one example. Not drawing in the players for whatever reason, but they continue to play ECNL. They're not moving them out to ECNL-R where they probably are better off. And yes i believe that NOVA parents believe all their kids should be playing at an "elite" level. So there is a dilution of talent. ECNL is the "it" league for the moment. That will change, it might take three or four years, but it will happen. If you don't believe me, look back at the posts from 2017 and see what leagues people were talking about. |
