you must think that everyone gets a trophy for participating. There isn't that many "elite" teams and also this does is water down the league so it will be a bigger ccl.

Huh? You must not know geography. This isn't adding another northern virginia team and diluting talent. There might be a kid or two Charlottesville kids that travel to join Richmond, but not many. Skyline has decent teams. Not really sure what you are talking about.

I know my geography. It's like CCL but a bigger scale. Crappy teams still play CCL 1 because you have to have a team in the top division. BRYC is one example. Not drawing in the players for whatever reason, but they continue to play ECNL. They're not moving them out to ECNL-R where they probably are better off. And yes i believe that NOVA parents believe all their kids should be playing at an "elite" level. So there is a dilution of talent.

ECNL is the "it" league for the moment. That will change, it might take three or four years, but it will happen. If you don't believe me, look back at the posts from 2017 and see what leagues people were talking about.

Wait, so now that you do know where Charlottesville is located and that it isn’t part of NOVA, what are you complaining about? Skyline joining ECNL is bad for who exactly?

Legacy might be a better candidate.

I agree that they need to find a way to keep the level of competition sufficiently high or the league will decay as others have done before it. If there is no way to relegate or cut teams then eventually the better clubs get fed up and start a new league. It's a cycle that will continue until there is either promotion / relegation, or a league which is willing to fire its own members for non-performance.

That said, I think Skyline might be good enough to belong in ECNL anyway. They're certainly better than plenty of ECNL clubs today. Time will tell I guess.

Skyline is no where near ECNL quality. Neither is BRYC.

Neither is your face.

Lol. I’ll take the criticism.

This means BRYC will soon be replaced or they now have club to compete with on their level.

I agree BRYC is weak. Skyline is significantly better than BRYC. I would say that Skyline boys are better than all of BRYC, McLean and Loudoun. They are not as good as Arlington or Richmond.

So they may not be ECNL quality - whatever that is - but they are better than plenty of local ECNL clubs.

Ranking are based on points obtained from doing tournaments. This is a extremely flawed way of ranking teams considering most ECNL teams don't chase tournament points.

Skyline FC (SOCA) 04 girls were ranked #1 in VA and got handled by local ECNL teams. Don't put to much thought into it.

I agree but many ECNL teams avoid tournaments for the risk of exposing as an average teams.

GOTSOCCER, yes. YSR uses an algorithm based on scores during both league play and tournaments. Not saying it is 100% accurate, but its actually decent.
