If you have never tested positive for COVID...

Do you truly believe you have never been exposed, or do you think you by now you’ve probably had an asymptomatic case and just not known it? The virus has become so widespread and so contagious it seems like there can’t be that many left who’ve been able to completely avoid exposure.

I work in person in a large office. I wear a mask. I double masked starting in the Fall. I do not get coffee with people, I do not go to the cafeteria. I do not think I have been exposed at all, despite there being cases at my work.

I believe I’ve been exposed. But because I’ve worn a mask out and at work, and worked to maintain physical distancing, I don’t believe I’ve contracted it.

I don’t think we have had it. Husband and I both work from home and do delivery only shopping. Zero cases at child’s school, other child stayed home with no child care. Only met up with other similarly cautious friends outdoors and masked.

Neither of us had much symptoms after the first vaccine, which is supposed to be a sign of no exposure.

I’ve got three kids in school, I go to yoga (masked) daily and have flown 3 or 4 times. I have tested three times after known exposure. I have always been negative and have not been sick. I mask everywhere I go that’s indoors but otherwise it’s life as normal. I dont think I’ve had it, but what do I know

I don't think I've had it. We both work from home 100%, our kid goes to daycare (another room had 2 cases, ours has had none). We get most things delivered. We wear n95 masks if we do go to a store. I don't think that all 3 of us would have been completely asymptomatic. My kid had strep this winter. Only 5% of fairfax county has tested positive, so even if true cases were 3-5 time that number, it's still not that prevalent that I'd think I've definitely been exposed.

I've been exposed several times. I also work with Covid patients (not my exposures). There are two possibilities:

1. I had Covid in early February last year before it was a big thing. A Covid like illness tore through work and our dojo. It was classic Covid symptoms. Ds got sick. Dh didn't (though he never seems to catch any bugs DS and I do).

2. I had an asymptomatic case and dh and DS were also asymptomatic.

From may to August I was tested weekly so know I wasn't an asymptomatic carrier then.

I was exposed in my own house. I tested many times before and after exposure and never tested positive.

I don’t think I’ve had it. I wouldn’t consider myself particularly careful. I wear a mask indoors and avoid large gatherings. I don’t wear a mask outside unless I’m somewhere that requires one. My kids are in day care and DW and I work in person. I’ve received both Moderna doses and had symptoms after the second dose. Anyone I know who was vaccinated and already tested positive for covid had symptoms after the first dose. This seems to be common according to my doctor.

I have not been exposed to my knowledge.

I don't think we've had it - we have 5 people in our household and no one has had symptoms & I think it is unlikely that 5 people would all be asymptomatic. I guess if we were around people who had it we were outdoors or wearing masks indoors.

I work from home, DH worked from home until last month (and he's vaccinated now), we have one kid in K at daycare, and two kids doing online school (but finally able to go back hybrid this week). We do outdoor activities with friends & the kids do mostly outdoor sports (& my daughter does one masked dance class and one masked gymnastics class a week) but we have not socialized indoors in a year.

We were all sick in late Feb./early March, but didn't realize our symptoms were possibly COVID. So I think we had it, but it wasn't confirmed.

I don't think I've ever contracted it, nor has my spouse nor my kids. We wfh 100%, have groceries and takeout delivered. We go outside all the time, wear masks if we come within 10 feet of others while outside, but we don't go inside anywhere that's not our home. Over the past year we've been into home depot about 3 times. We've also been to a handful of routine dr/dental appts, but the providers and staff have worn sufficient ppe that I'm confident there has not been exposure.

Yes, I believe that because the masks were mandated VERY late, because so many people reported that regarding of wearing the mask they got it, because many people who were locked in and had only food delivery still got it.. my take is that by now most everyone has been exposed with very very few exception, but it does not mean that this means that people should not get vaccinated as there is no guarantee, even antibody tests can not tell you if you had it or not since they are not very accurate so for the safety sake it is better to vaccinate if you did not have it or so it seems till you show me other way.

+1

Except the vaccine - not eligible yet.

My daughter had what we thought was a reaction to a flu shot in the fall, but symptoms dragged on much longer than any reputable medical source said they should have, and the symptoms were more varied than would be expected for a flu shot. In retrospect we realized that it was likely something more than a flu shot reaction, quite possibly covid judging by the symptoms, and the rest of the family was likely exposed as well.

So...don’t know, but it’s certainly possible.

I disagree with your assessment, though, that most people have been exposed, and that exposure = a person has been infected.
