If you have never tested positive for COVID...

The virus has become so widespread and so contagious it seems like there can’t be that many left who’ve been able to completely avoid exposure.

Since I'm working from home and only do outdoor activities, I'm almost certain I've never been exposed.

Testing negative four times over the winter.

If you virtually never go out how’d you test four times and why?

Well, funny you ask. My DS sat next to a person who tested positive the day after. Two days after that DS tested negative. It is for a college sports team and they were testing weekly. Kids had no symptoms at all.
DS was convinced he had it, but was Superimmune, lol!
Did antibody test in January, negative to the bone.

I would bet money that neither me, DH or kids have been infected.

I catch everything. I typically have 4-5 colds per year that last 2 weeks each. I've gotten the flu the past three years, despite yearly vaccinations.

But this has been the healthiest year of my life. No one in our family has been sick. With anything. At all. It's been amazing.

I'm working from home 97% of the time. DH working at the office. Kids in daycare/school off and on.

Masks work.

I tested once, it was negative. I am pretty sure I did not have it, I am a wuss with Lyme that was undetected for several years, so even though it was treated with antibiotics, it left me reeling from any kind of infection.
I think I would know it.
Do I think I passed someone that might have it in the grocery store and other places? Yes. I don't think that is enough to transmit it. There is pretty strong evidence that you have to be in the same space for some length of time for a viral load to cause covid.

Never been exposed. Never had it. I’ve done numerous antibody tests. All negative.

Had to travel to PA for family estate issues. And that's what PA requires, at least they did.

I was a bit surprised honestly because I have multiple facets for exposure through family (and I have generally been out in society with precautions). I did have what sounded a lot like mild Covid in Feb 2020, but of course did not test back then so who knows...

Antibodies may not last that long, T-cells take over the job at a certain point.

Good to know. I swear I had it in March 2020 and just tested negative for antibodies. I had two days of a headache (very unusual for me) and mild fever and chills, which then dissolved into a dry cough (also unusual for me). No congestion but there were three days of a heavy enough chest that I almost went in to get an inhaler. The cough lasted about 3 weeks. I was also exhausted the first 5 days. I’d call it a mild case. We have a pulse ox in the house due to asthma and was about 98% at my worst so didn’t worry. To be honest, when my chest felt at its worst, I would drink scotch to alleviate the pressure.

I got sick after our housekeeper’s DIL came with her to help and was so sick she looked like death warmed over. Hacked the entire time. I remember because I don’t like sick people in my house like that, Covid or not.

I have been out and about through the whole pandemic, masked, grocery shopped, mall for a few things, sewing stores, etc. Spent a few weeks at my place in MA as well. Got together with family July 4th at their beach house near mine (one a practicing nurse through the pandemic). I am also type A blood so if that was Covid, it wasn’t that bad. I’m 59 as well with minor pre-hypertension on the top number.

I do have family members in NY with Covid now, but most are doing excellent. One went to the hospital and spent a couple days with pneumonia but is home now.

I’ve been deep diving into the numbers. In the general population, Covid is not that prevalent believe it or not.

Negative tests foe procedures and no I don’t think I’ve ever had it. Been living like a monk.

Haven’t had a single cold since lockdown last March. I have had no symptoms of covid and have never needed to get tested. Both my kids also have never shown symptoms of covid, and same for my husband.

In our household none of us that have it. Risk profile: 1 kid playing an indoor sport. Other children playing outdoor sports with a few scares but never any close contact positive cases. We do not eat out, groceries are delivered, we did not see any extended family over the holidays. So pretty sure we were never infected. I have a compromised immune system and usually get sick several times a year. Did not get sick once this year which as it was evidence for me that none of us have had Covid.

I was with my brother first week of March 2020. (NY). He tested positive one week later.
I was sick with a crazy 3 days headache 2 weeks later.

DH works in person at a hotel that never closed (in DC).

None of us have gotten covid. I tested negative for antibodies in November 2020.

They did not isolate from me, I slept in the same bed as DH, kissed him (before we knew it was COVID), and cleaned up after them. I either have some protection from a past coronavirus or I got really lucky. I had an antibody test done and I had none.

That said, I am type O blood and take high doses of vitamin D because without it, my levels are extremely low. So maybe that played into it as well.

My husband had it, very early on, when he noted the loss of smell before it was a known symptom..He later had the antibody test and it was positive. I am O+ and I tested negative for antibodies. Hmmm.

Antibodies only remain in your system for about three months. You likely had COVID in March.
