DH and I are both fairly certain we had it in February. We think DH was exposed while overseas. We just treated the symptoms at home. I wasn’t that sick. But, I’ve never seen my DH so sick. It took him several weeks to fully recover. |
I doubt I have been exposed. I've taken 3 Covid tests, negative each time. One was for a potential exposure when I was asymptomatic and the other two when I had symptoms which turned out to just be regular bugs/viruses. If people aren't getting tested for every little cold or bug they can't just assume Covid is what they had. Wasn't true for me twice. |
+1 I am the first PP here. Also, I definitely didn't say young children don't transmit at all. But science clearly shows they don't transmit it as often as older children or adults. One anecdote doesn't mean anything, obviously (I thought DCUMers were supposed to be educated...SMH) |
I think the overwhelming majority of the WFH crowd who have significantly modified their behavior have not been exposed.
Even my spouse who worked in person with a lot of other people indoors the entire pandemic was probably never asymptomatically infected. He got tested every other week, I got tested every month (plus antibody tests), all negative. Some if it's luck, but most of it is we didn't go over to people's houses or have anyone over to ours. |
