| Inspired by other thread about max $/night. What percentage of your income do you spend on travel? |
| About 5% of gross. ($15k/$300k) |
| Maybe 3% of 220K, if you include day trips and weekend getaways with the one or two big ones per year. Maybe a little more in years we go to Europe or Hawaii (use miles for plane tickets), a little less for domestic. |
|
At the moment very little.
In normal times we spend probably $20-$25k, much of it on skiing, which is 2-3%. We also have a beach house so that’s not technically in our travel budget but is a place we travel to frequently. If we didn’t have the house our travel budget would no doubt be much higher. |
| 20% of 127k. That’s actually more than I spend on my mortgage, and the experience is totally worth it. |
| Maybe about $12k of $400k, so 3%. |
| About 6%. 15k of $250k gross. We spent half that in 2020 though. |
| About 1% of our $140k gross. Gas, tolls, food and maybe a motel on the way to staying with relatives. |
| Probably about 50% of 250-300k. Not including maintenance on beach house. |
| 4% 10k/250k |
|
5% 6k/120k
|
| 5% $11k/$220k |

Did you accidentally add a 0 to your %? |
No, our mortgage is only 1200/ month. |
