Do you prefer:
Katherine Katharine Kathryn Catherine Catharine Cathryn other? And why? Thank you. |
|
Catherine.
I don't like K names in general, the C is more traditional. |
| Katherine I think it looks nicer. Katharine is nice too. I hate Kathryn or Cathryn, they look dated like Carolyn |
| I like Katherine. Don't love the "y" spellings. |
|
Katherine
I hate the Catherine spelling. |

I have a slight preference for the K version, but I like both Katherine and Catherine.
I don't hate any of the spellings but agree with a PP that the 'y' versions feel a little dated. |
|
Katherine is my favorite ...
followed by Catherine. I love this name! |
| I prefer Catherine. |
| Think about any nn you prefer. I like K better especially for a Kate or Katy |
| I am a Katherine. I, in general, don't like my name (just personal preference, I prefer more unusual names to classic names), but given that it's my name, I like my spelling. It feels like the most standard, it's rarely spelled wrong. I also think Catherine is okay. But generally, if they ask, people just say "with a C or a K?" and then when I say "K" they spell it correctly. So be prepared for misspellings if you go with something other than Katherine or Catherine. |
Ohh, I'm the Katherine above, and this is a GREAT point. When I was little, I went by Katie. Catherine lends itself more to Cathy, I think. |
|
Either Catherine or Katherine. I prefer it with a C, but K is lovely, as well.
For some completely irrational reason, I really dislike Catharine/Katharine and Kathryn. |
|
Katherine.
The "y" versions look dated. The "ar" versions look spelled wrong. And I prefer Katie to Cathy. |
