as of today, how many kids do you have coming in?

LCPS middle school teacher here. I have a couple of students switch from Hybrid to DL after I showed the tour to the building. I didn't sugar coated it, I was 100% honest, and showed them lovely school its going to be. One of the parents emailed the principal and complainant to the principal and good news is the principal is very supported and didn't make a big deal about it. On the bright side I am glad that kid is coming back cause at least he won't be with his mom for 7 hours on Thursday and Friday.

1ST BLOCK 2 ON Tuesday 3 Thursday
2ND BLOCK 4 on Tuesday 2 Thursday
3RD BLOCK PLANING********
4TH BLOCK 6 Tuesday 4 Thursday
5TH BLOCK 3 Wednesday 5 Friday
6TH BLOCK 2 Wednesday 5 Friday
7TH BLOCK planning *****************
8TH BLOCK 5 ON Wednesday 1 on Friday

Is this you from the “why are teachers terrified” thread?

LCPS Teacher- I just don't want to get anyone else sick. I don't want to get Jane mom or BOB grand[parents sick. It really sucks that we have to go back. I told my 6th graders life is not worth rushing and we shouldn't rush anything and talked to them how school board rush into reopening. there still 1,000 cases a day and we not sure how well vaccine works so yah it won't be easy..

Yes it’s them. It’s probably the same person who kept claiming snow days were taking off from their maternity leave. They say nonsense designed to rile people up.

Not sure how well the vaccine works is one of the most B. S. comments I have ever heard. The data is staggeringly good. Real world effectiveness is as good as clinical trials across ALL populations (besides kids, since we aren't vaccinating them, we don't know) and the vaccine prevents transmission almost as well as it prevents disease. Vaccine misinformation drives me crazy.

It makes sense coming from someone who is either a troll or a US History teacher with broken English who thinks it’s appropriate to bad mouth the school board to a bunch of 6th graders.

About average for the grade level. Last I knew we were at 112 of 139, or 80%. The school average I believe is a bit lower at around 70%. Kindergarten has a much lower %.

My FCPS has kid said they will have 3-5 kids in their in person classes. These are all classes with 20 plus kids in them.
