It’s very Interesting how 50% of the kids in FCPS are returning to school

MS teacher, I have 39 students returning to school and the boys to girls ratio is 20:19
Block 6 has 6 boys and 0 girls
Block 2 has 6 girls and 2 boys

My outliers are block 6 and block 2.

On Phoenix I noticed that my ethnicity ratio is way off, my classes are about 40% white but hybrid white to non white ratio is 25 to 14

Where did you see that number? I don't doubt it, just curious. I'm an ES teacher w/ 80% of my students returning.

I heard the N Arl middles and Yorktown shifted a bit since December. More virtual.

Thanks. I guess my school and class are on the upper end of the %.

ATS reports that 55% of kids are hybrid.

Williamsburg reported 70% hybrid in December. But I’ve heard it is now lower.

my daughter's first grade class only has 7 kids returning out of 24.

I know because I am #7 - we switched because the teacher told me how low her numbers were. She is only going in for 2 days/week - they put all the in person kids on the same 2 days for her.

Ha! I’m a teacher and I was just telling my husband last night most of my students returning are girls. I have several sections where it’ll be me and 2-3 girls. Gonna be pretty cute.

Since we have been told that kids in virtual and hybrid will be treated exactly the same, this shouldn't be an issue.

I have fewer than 20% of any class coming in, and the number will decrease over the week according to our registrar, who is processing requests.
