Annoying moms

Don't open such threads if they annoy you. End of story. You were harping about this 47 months in another thread too and fact is you don't know jack about how much soccer the posters watch. Believe it or not there are some moms who love some sports and follow those sports very closely so give it a rest.

People who REPEATEDLY compain about things they don't have to expose themselves to... that's annoying. Goodbye.

MOms who write posts on DCUM with subject lines that are ambiguous.

Don't write "Dan o ninos" in the subject line say "Is Dan o ninos really yogurt?". Don't write "Drugs." but "Defending Drug Free Childbirth to Friends".

You get the picture.

I haven't used a stroller since my DS was 2-2.5. Personally I think three is too old, and 4&5 is just ridiculously old.

You are all obviously NOT city dwellers.

One should always consider that that 4-5 y o in a stroller may have gross motor issues and not be capable of walking any distance. Despite plenty of OT and PT, neither of my children could handle lengthy walks until that age. Luckily therapy has worked and they have both gotten better, but I would have been lost without the stroller. Would driving everywhere (we live in the city) have been a better option? On the other hand, neither of my children has ever gone running off anywhere, but I will choose not to judge you even tho you are judging me.

Moms that feel the need to post asinine posts like this one. Get a life.

Mom with baby (ahead of me) in the grocery store line who feels it is more important to show her baby every item in the cart before it is placed on the belt.

Moms with strollers who feel they have the right to go ahead of me to get on or off the elevator. They don't ask-they just trudge ahead.

Elevators frequently have signs stating that those with greater need get priority. Next to that often there will be a symbol of a wheelchair, baggage and Yes, stroller. It is this way on the DC Metro. Yes, if you can walk or more easily take the escalator then a mom with a stroller DOES have the right to go ahead of you.

I have to disagree. This has happened to me many times in my building and usually I will let stroller mom on first just to be nice. And sometimes I end up having to wait for another elevator because of this. So, why should I have to wait? When I have my stroller, I allow the person who has been waiting first to go first. Then, I wait my turn.

you know, I have to admit that I have trudged on ahead onto an elevator with my stroller. I didn't do it on purpose, it was thoughtlessness. Sorry guys. I'll be more mindful from now on.

Mom's (of kids) who don't watch what their kids are doing in play areas such as the malls or playgrounds.

Mom's (of adult children, ahhem, my mom and MIL) who try to tell me my child is not tired when it is obviously nap time or past bed time. "Oh, just keep her up, she's perfectly fine, look at her, does she look tired?" They don't get it, no sleep now, pay later. I find this so annoying.

Moms who complain about their children to other people and can't wait for the first chance to get away from them. Although I completely understand needing time your self, please think of what your child would think if they overheard you. And, please think of those who are suffering from infertiltiy and might over hear this as well - I've been there!

yes! I've seen this too. Your child is a lot more perceptive than you realize!

Moms who use the following phrase, "if you don't come here right now I will leave." You have no idea what kind of damage you are doing to your child. Basically, don't give empty threats to your kids-ever!
