One should always consider that that 4-5 y o in a stroller may have gross motor issues and not be capable of walking any distance.  Despite plenty of OT and PT, neither of my children could handle lengthy walks until that age.  Luckily therapy has worked and they have both gotten better, but I would have been lost without the stroller.  Would driving everywhere (we live in the city) have been a better option?  On the other hand, neither of my children has ever gone running off anywhere, but I will choose not to judge you even tho you are judging me.[/quote]
