Teen Mom OG

Though sad in reality, it was funny to watch Sophia at the restaurant with Debra. Growling at her grandma and punching herself when Debra was mentioning David? Hilarious. Pure gold bathe was like a demonic kid in a movie. I had to rewind it. It IS all Farrah's fault...

While amber IS unstable, Gary should never have had that discussion with her about having someone drop her off, being gone for so long, etc, in front of leah.

The interaction be Ryan and his wife was fascinating and perplexing. What was it all about???? That was their only scene. Was he upset she spent $ at the mall? Did he not want to do the pics? Does he not really like her sober?

Actually this reminds me, Sophia’s always growling or punching or talking baby talk, compared to Bentley or Leah she seems so far behind verbally. Maybe that’s just on camera or maybe that’s because they only talk baby to her but I am not sure Farrah would know if there were special needs to be addressed. That would require her to look beyond herself.

I just can't get over Amber's complete disinterest in being a parent to Leah, yet inability to admit it and walk away. She "can't be around Leah" because of XYZ, yet can traipse all over filming another reality show, meeting a new boyfriend, etc. I would think most people might say "I can't worry about getting into a new relationship until I recover from depression/breakup with Matt/new medication/whatever," and then focus on Leah. But no, she has time for those things and Leah is the thing she can't deal with. From the way Gary acted on camera, it sounded like she'd basically been MIA all summer.

It really reminds me of that famous episode of Fresh Prince when Will's father comes back into his life, then tries to leave again. When confronting him, Phil says something like "Will isn't a coat you can put in the closet when you're done wearing it for a while. His life continues." I feel like Amber really needs that message--Leah's life continues when Amber isn't there, and every visit that Amber skips is putting more and more distance between them. Kristina is Leah's mother.

She and Jenelle should get together and go bowling.

Oh, I'm sure Sophia is behind her peers academically, and socially. Bently has been playing ball since he was in the womb and goes to school. He knows how to be a team player, how to compete, how to take instruction, how to encourage his teammates and draw strength from their encouragement of him. He's like 7 or 8, and at his mother's instruction, pulled Jade out of a hot tub (?) and took her into the house alone. While I wouldn't hire him to babysit, I would trust him to like... watch my kid while I ran to the bathroom. I would bet money Farrah has hired someone to care for the pony she bought Sophia because otherwise the thing would be dead.

Sophia has been pulled out of so many schools and moved so frequently- now she’s supposedly homeschooled - until Farrah jets off to Europe for a month again?!

Totally agree. BTW, Bentley turned nine around Halloween. I remember because he’s the same age as my DS.

Who is watching Sophia when Farrah is off at all these reality shows and p*rn conventions? Michael, her dad? So is HE the one homeschooling Sophia? He and his girlfriend seem lovely.

I feel bad for Leah. Amber seems to only care about her when it’s convenient for her. It’s sad these women choose men over their own children. I can’t believe she is having another kid.

Mackenzie is on some bs. I had a family member addicted to drugs. No way she didn’t know any of it. I feel Ryan’s mom is agreeing with Maci but doesn’t want to upset Larry. Larry is still all about protecting his son. Ryan is not clean after just 21 days of rehab.

Farrah is ruining Sophia. She is suing all those things because that’s what she hears.

Catelynn and Tyler seem happy. Nova is so cute!

I feel bad for Leah, but I don’t worry about her—Kristina is meeting her mom needs. Amber is really missing out. Seems like Leah knows she can’t ever count on Amber showing up, so she doesn’t expect anything from her.

The whole Farrah situation is just weird. It’s hard to know what’s real and what’s a show for cameras. Deb does not act like a grownup in any way, so it just makes me wonder what it was like for Farrah growing up, which trickles down to how Sophia is growing up. I’m sure Farrah feeds her negative things about Deb, but Deb is super obnoxious and talks to Sophia like she’s still a toddler. I’d prob growl at her too.

I don’t see happiness from Cate and Tyler. I see Cate just trying to exist and Tyler talking nonstop, either thinking he’s spouting wisdom or just running his mouth in every situations about how it affects himself. I sort of felt bad for them about how the semi-open adoption is going until they showed one episode a few seasons ago where they spoke with Dawn and casually mentioned how they had purchased Christmas gifts for Carly but never sent them because they didn’t get around to it, and other times that communition/action had been in their court and they didn’t follow through. It’s complicated with them. Nova is cute, but it seems like she’s always going to live in Carly’s shadow.

OK I never think about this show until this post pops up so I went and watched the last couple of eps.

Farrah needs to stop talking to her daughter like she is an adult.

Amber just wants to be on TV and that's the only reason she is even bothering to pretend she wants to see Leah.

Also why is Farrah's mom planning to wear some traditional wedding gown when she is like a million years old?

Have Cate and Tyler’s roles reversed re Carly? Maybe it’s just me but it didn’t seem like Tyler was as obsessed about the visit as he used to be. He didn’t go on about - that’s MY kid; or she called me dad; or perceived slights from Brandon and Teresa. Cate OTOH who previously was just thankful to see Carly seemed more unhinged — saying I can tell she misses her? Um — no you can’t bc you don’t know this 9 yr old, you don’t know her behaviors and feelings and I’m fairly confident she views B&T as her mom and dad and you’re just extended family, not the other way around. And then Cate acted all slighted that she asked B&T to hang with them at the beach bc they were staying all week. Uh - I think the “most” they owe you is one hour or few hours long a yr to see Carly. They aren’t obligated to let you see her one week per yr bc you’ve decided to make the meeting point into your vacation destination. Seems like Tyler cares less now — maybe it’s bc he had another kid so that pretty much “replaces” Carly in his mind and gives him someone else to focus on.

In this week's scene where Ryan's wife is driving them somewhere and he's saying he feels sick by how she's driving, neither of them is wearing a seatbelt.

Most of the cast on both shows do not wear seatbelts. And they all use their phones and text and drive. Maci rolled her Jeep (with Bentley inside) and still texts and drives.
