What about the kids at the opposing schools who would like to earn scholarships? They would be missing an opportunity to make an impression on scouts who may be there looking at the Hayfield players.

Many players have earned scholarships because a scout came to see someone on the opposing team.

No one really has a chance to show what they can do on the losing side of a 70-0 football game. That's an absurd argument.
The kids would only be missing one game-their game against Hayfield. And they could play the other teams refusing to play Hayfield instead. Win win.

No because each team is playing Hayfield a different week.

Just wanted to point out that they are crushing what should be even games agaist WSHS and CHS with around 8 transfers still sitting out....

The WSHS game should hav been an easy victory for WSHS based on game history between the 2 schools. WSHS got routed, and only scored once.

The other two teams that have played Hayfield should have been even matches (CHS) or a victory for Hayfield (AHS).

None of them should have been blowouts of this ilk.

Shame on FCPS.

She own an independent church with her husband in Fredericksburg and says she lives in Fredericksburg. She aparently has two sons, but they would not have played for Freedom (wrong county-she lives in Stafford) or for Hayfield.

Is it normal for PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL football teams to hire religious quasi-coaches? She did something with the Freedom team last year, who knows what. Are they paying here? Is she volunteering? Is this kind of proselytizing allowed at a public school event?

She posted this:
"As we gear up for another championship run, God quietly reminded me that he’s been in this down to the tiniest details. I laughed out loud over the FAITHFULNESS OF GOD! Prophetic signs are everywhere. John 13:7 says, “you may not know what I’m doing, but in time you will understand.” I’m honored to join the coaching staff at Hayfield and to serve over 150 student-athletes and their families. I love what I do. I consider it my godly service."

Last night, she posted a smirking/laughing video from the SIDELINES of the Chantilly game. Only staff are allowed on the sidelines.

She took a picture of the 70-0 scoreboard and posted this:
"They said they were organic and we were not! I love words! The opposite of organic is: structured, organized, coherent, integrated, coordinated, ordered, systematic, systematized, methodical, orderly, consistent, harmonious, and methodized! Sometimes what they mean as an insult is actually a huge compliment.

BABY WE ARE ALL OF THAT!!!!
It’s a well-trained army lead by impeccable coaches. That DARKSIDE something serious!!

Different school, same mentality!

Scouts don't go to games in person. They just look at film clips and then invite kids to camps.

You are giving misinformation to the people of DCUM. I was at a game a couple weeks ago where there was a Va Tech and a Penn State coach on the home team’s sideline.

A player on the losing team can get the attention of a college coach if he is playing is position well enough to satisfy the need of the program the scout represents.

It’s a joke of a school now. Might as well be in Alabama.

Alabama has standards

I agree.

Unfortunately, one of those small temas over the next few weeks will be likely have their homecoming game against Hayfield.

This really sucks for the non cheating schools and students.

If “Remember the Titans” was an uplifting movie, the sequel - “Screw the Cheating Hawks” will be a downer.

Man, that stinks.

The injured player's parents from all of the teams that have played Hayfield should sue FCPS for brushing under the rug these obvious violations by Hayfield.

How injured is injured?

The creepy religious cult lady aka the "chaplain/coach" has a son who is an assistant coach for Hayfield who was at Freedom last year.

How many paid coaching jobs does each team have? Are all these assistants working for free?

She left up the smirking video but has hidden the video in the orange sweatshirt where she talked about being hired as a religious coach.

Maybe they are getting paid from the missing 20k that was fundraised?

I can still see the orange sweatshirt post where she says she was hired as a coach for Hayfield.

Um, who is "Dr Harry Jackson"? And why should we care about his opinion? This is clearly not journalism.
