I can’t see how this would be possible if he pleaded guilty during the plea bargain.
Anyone think he is doing this to rat on the mistress? |
| I know nothing about this specific case, but it isn't unusual for someone to plead guilty but then appeal the sentence ultimately given by the judge. It is less common to appeal substantively, which would be needed to get a new trial granted, but you can plead guilty while retaining the right to appeal a legal issue made by the judge. For example, say the judge excluded certain evidence or a certain defense ahead of trial. Given that ruling, you feel you are cooked so you want to plead guilty. You might be able to plead guilty, but retain the right to appeal the judge's legal ruling. If the legal ruling is overturned, your guilty plea would be vacated. |
| It worked for Mike Flynn, it might work for him too. |
| You’re saying the mistress had something to do with it? |
I don't think this is entirely true. The guilty plea would not be vacated, but he just has the ability to appeal other parts of the ruling. When you sign a plea deal, they tell you that you can't appeal it. If he wanted the ability to appeal the guilty plea, he would have had to plea not guilty and go through the trial. He killed them. If he thinks he can appeal for a lesser sentence than the multiple life sentences, he has plenty of time left to sit and rot while he thinks about it. |
Are you confusing murder cases? Chris Watts GF/OW had no hand in the murders or the desecration of the bodies. That was all him. So there’s nothing to charge her with or reduce his sentence with. Now if this was Jennifer Dulos or Kelsey Berreth, where the OW actually helped clean up the crime scene - then, yeah. |
Nicole Kessinger claims she didn't know he was married and yet she searched terms like "marrying your mistress" and "man I'm having an affair with says he will leave his wife." She spent hours looking at Shannann's fb page and in the days before the murder she spent 2 hours looking up wedding dresses on the internet. Those are the facts. |
I think it is pretty clear that Nicole Kessinger definitely had something to do w/the untimely deaths/murders of Shan’ann, Bella, Celeste ➕ Baby Niko. Why do I think this? Because she has lied so much that she must be covering something up. She claimed that she had no idea that Chris’s wife was pregnant. Yet she searched his wife’s name on Facebook where Shanann had a very active account which was set to Public. In it, she provided a ton of updates relating to her new baby. Plus, when Chris spoke w/investigators while in Dodge Correctional in WI, when speaking about murdering Shanaan and using a shovel to dig a shallow grave for her corpse - he referred to “us” digging/shoveling vs. “I.” Huge faux pax. Chris Watts will NEVER ever get out of prison. I can promise you that. Until he goes out in a body bag.... |
The facts of what? She knew he was married isn’t a case. Was she a participant in the murders or not? |
|
She has immunity and a new identity. Her going to the police helped bring him in.
End of story. |
She actually doesn’t have a new identity. She filed for a name change in court back in October. But nothing has happened yet because of COVID. She’s been hiding between her dads place and a place in Wisconsin. Not sure how close she is to Chris’s jail. |
Rat on her for what? She wasn't involved. This has been proven over and over. You obviously don't follow the case. |
He said "us" because he is referring to himself and his daughters. She may have known Shannan was pregnant, maybe not. I read the entire case file twice. You should give that s try instead of watching YouTube. |
That's not true. There are times you can enter a conditional guilty plea. https://sharpcriminalattorney.com/blog/criminal-law/what-is-a-conditional-plea/ |
| Lying about not knowing she was pregnant does not equal involvement in her murder. Also, why would him ratting her out change his sentence? He admitted he did the crimes, provided a detailed confession, and pled guilty. |
