Chris Watts is exploring the possibility of appealing his sentence and hoping for a new trial

Murderers get out free and early all the time. So it's possible. And with covid, maybe the attorneys think that someone will have some sympathy and reduce his sentence.

What I find weird about this case is how many times Chris has changed his story. When and where he killed the girls, whether one or both woke up! After he smothered them, whether he and Shannan really did have sex before he killed her.

I think he killed the girls early the night before and killed Shannan almost as soon as she got home. Not sure who placed the order on the computer at like 2 AM, him or Shannan.

I do wonder if he and Nicole discussed what he was planning to do. She might not have wanted a new husband with an ex and three kids to support.

You may be right. I do know the part where he claimed Shannan said "you'll never see your kids again" is totally fabricated. Maybe he was trying to gain a little bit of sympathy by making her look bad.

The person who read the whole case file twice, was it confirmed whether Shannan had intercourse with her husband before death?
