I'm pretty sure solstice celebration complete with ever greens being brought indoors predate christianity by a thousand years. Christianity appropriated solstice celebrations, and now secular commercialism is appropriating Christmas

Decorating with family heirlooms, listening to Christmas music by a fire with a nice cup of hot chocolate, baking Christmas cookies, taking a nighttime drive to admire decorated houses, watching Christmas themed movies.
