| Just call it the festival of Sol Invictus. That was the Roman holiday the Church took it from. People all over the world want to celebrate the solstice--the time when the sun comes back from the dead (Latin: Sol Invictus, unconquered sun). Now, non-religious people have appropriated it from Christians. Happens all through history. |
