DC Police Officer shot & killed by wife

Anonymous
He was a homicide detective with a 20-year record on the force. Christina Lynn Francis shot him and then shot herself in a murder-suicide. They lived in Waldorf, MD.

He investigated homicides and then became one. Looks like he was having an affair and the wife found out. What happened to just getting a divorce and taking half his damn twenty-year pension, if applicable. Darn, it appears like she had two children. So sad, for the children.

It wasn't applicable. They had only been married 3 years. So she decided she wasn't going to let him leave the marriage alive.

The poor kids involved. What she did was inexcusable

Wow, so sad for the children and families. I looked at her Facebook page and it’s so creepy. Her last two posts were clearly right before she did this and it was hard to figure out what she was saying. One was a picture of her kids and the other was about her wedding.

Premeditated. You cant excuse this as a crime of passion.

I agree. She wasn't thinking about her very young children when she did what she did. Just selfish on her part.

I wonder if he had children of his own.

Absolutely. But she's dead. So there will be a state funeral for the slain officer, a humbug one for the killer wife, and crying kids at both.

I saw a comment on her FB page and someone said they felt sorry for all 7 children.

She is/was a fellow officer in the force. This murder-suicide reminds me of the one that happened in Pennsylvania were the wife being left went after the mistress and offed them both once the husband asked for a divorce. This was after pleading on NextDoor for ''excellent marriage counseling'. The only reason this turned out differently is the wife probably decided she couldn't take a trained female cop - so she shot the sleeping husband instead.
