The woman he cheated with posted comments and pictures of them together on social media after it was announced he was killed. I hope they are sure it was murder suicide.

As soon as I saw this reported, I thought, "Why did she kill him?" Most murders like this are done in self defense. And most often police officers are protected by those in their ranks. Not saying that this is what happened here, but I do think it's important not to take what you read at face value. We have no idea what their marriage was like behind the scenes...

He was a good guy, murdered by a jealous wife whose unstable Facebook posts clearly show she couldn’t handle him leaving. The police stated the evidence was clear on the murder-suicide.

The Washington D.C. Police Union added that Timothy's career in law enforcement followed his father's footsteps.

'Tim was one of the best detectives in CID. His father was also a detective that worked nearly 45 years for MPD,' the DC Police Union wrote.

'Tim was a stand up guy that always held his ground. We are all still reeling from this news. The MPD has lost a true detective today and he will not soon be replaced.'
