In America, adultery does not mean the death penalty.

+10000000

His affair is immaterial. This is cold blooded murder.

It’s motive (so not immaterial) and it’s murder.

Just like if it was a drug deal gone wrong people want to know why it happened. It happened because he had an affair.

Is it fair? No, life isn’t fair.

Do you blame him? Look how she let herself go.

But, look how the _affair_ partner has also let herself go. At age 22.

Yes. He’s 55 ganging a 22 year old.

Sounds all too familiar. It happens more than you think in the police force.

It’s not illegal.

A wife murdering her husband is.

I believe it's called a 'crime of passion', no? I am not excusing it, but isn't that a legal thing?

A crime of passion is walking in on them and killing them.., split second decisions.

This was more premeditated.

i don't think she would have gotten much of his pension since they'd only been married for 4 or 5 years. i don't know what the state laws of Maryland are

I feel nothing but sadness for children that are left holding the burden of two irresponsible parents. What did she resolve? I don’t know the facts of the story so haven’t concluded a judgment but what is evident is heart wrenching.

She has now threatened her own seed. She allowed her negative response to an unfair situation threaten the future of her children by removing one of their parents from this world, and potentially removing herself from the environment if convicted and sentenced to lock up for who knows how long. She threw caution to the wind. Walking away lay have made her feel humiliated, but her children would have been respected, and she may have been protected with a community of support from the pain/rejection she felt from being with a liar.

This is just sad all around. This is such a difficult holiday for so many grieving hearts - their children will be in my thoughts. I hope that they aren’t sentenced to unfavorable circumstances because of this, and they can grow to have healthy and nurturing relationships.

They’re both dead FYI. It was a murder-suicide.
