Superbowl halftime - scantily dressed women and very covered up men

Check that judgement—pole dancing has become one of the hottest fitness trends.

Pole dancing is often stigmatized as “dirty” or something “strippers do.” We need to destigmatize pole dancing, but in order to do that, we must first destigmatize stripping and stop viewing it as something that places a person below others in society. Once the shame placed on strippers is removed, we can start to see pole dancing for what it really is: art.

Pole dancing should first and foremost be viewed as a form of dance, self-expression and empowerment.

Google: pole dancing classes in DC or MD or VA and see how many fitness and conditioning classes pop up.
Do you really think all these women signing up for these classes are strippers?

The sex moves from Shakira and her rope and gyrating on the floor to JLO the pole dancer were very sad considering how many young girls are being sexually trafficked that very weekend. Honestly if a man appeared and they both performed oral sex it would have fit with their performance. They both are incredibly talented vocally and could have done a wonderful performance with more clothes and without the constant sex moves.

And the nut cases here would still think that wasn’t sexual at all and very empowering!

Nothing, and I mean nothing, will ever beat Doug Heffernan pole dancing.

Don't feed the troll. She's probably a paid publicist for JLo.

Maybe even the same "social media consultant"

You think Meghan and JLo need publicist in DCUM because no one agree with them....I wonder what Meghan and JLo have in common? Perhaps that they are not white?

I did not care for the political statement and rolled my eyes. You may disagree but I will point out that Trump is still the president and will likely be for another four years, so bask in the kids-in-cages performance all you want.

And you are fine with kids in cages. Ok, Karen. It’s not even a political statement. It’s just basic human rights. You disgust me

I can live with disgusting you. Obama did the same thing. Trump is likely your president through 2024.

I thought it was brilliant that Shakira wore her Zootopia character’s costume. And I want to know what hair products they both use.

You are evil. That is all. Enjoy Nazi training camp.

Not being racist does wonders for your hair and skin

So what is the rationale to de-stigmatize pole dancing? It is something strippers do. If it is becoming a fitness trend, then it's a fitness trend where people are pretending to be strippers. Just ewww.

It used to be that only prostitutes shaved their pubes. Is that still the case?

It is obscene that they were forced to appear clothed.

I want to see their tits and their vaginas and their anal hair. That would have been ten times more empowering.

Cowards.

I don’t recall anything overtly sexual, such as crotch grabbing, during his performance. Nothing provocative. As a matter of fact I remember it being boring.
