Probably prevent Oct 7 if you really care about starving children

It was the responsibility of Benjamin Netanyahu to prevent 10/7 but he purposely didn’t. The military was told to stand by and do nothing.

You think Netanyahu could not have prevented October 7th? Oh sweetheart... your naiveté is no longer cute.

American Jews are causing this tragedy. Stop supporting any synagogue that flies the Israeli flag.

the US would not be giving so much support to Israel/Zionism without American Jews driving the financing.

Under the guise of charitable donations, tens of millions of dollars are regularly sent to Israel in the form of "tax-deductible gifts for Jewish settlement in the West Bank and East Jerusalem," the New York Times reported. Much of the money, falsely promoted as donations for educational and religious purposes, often finds its way to funding and purchasing housing for illegal settlers, "as well as guard dogs, bulletproof vests, rifle scopes and vehicles to secure (illegal Jewish) outposts deep in occupied (Palestinian) areas."

Quite often, US money ends up in the Israeli government's coffers under deceptive pretenses. For example, the latest Stimulus Package includes $50 million to fund the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Funds, supposedly to provide investments in "people-to-people exchanges and economic cooperation ... between Israelis and Palestinians with the goal of supporting a negotiated and sustainable two-state solution."

Actually, such money serves no particular purpose, since Washington and Tel Aviv endeavor to ensure the demise of a negotiated peace agreement and work hand-in-hand to kill the now defunct two-state solution.

This is sick. This is what zionism is.

How the hell does anyone stand by Israel?

I mean, I don’t agree with what is happening, but they aren’t wrong that Gazan children will grow up to hate Israelis and are effectively “the enemy.”

I mean, did Jewish survivors of the Holocaust grow up to love the Nazis?

Do vile things, and people will hate you. It's not incomprehensible nor nonsensical.

But that is also why the Israelis hate Hamas in the first place. It’s a viscous cycle. I can see why a Gazan child is a potential Hamas soldier to them. And I can understand why Gazans feel the same about Israeli children.

Your equivocation is gag inducing. Genocide is not the answer.

I already said I don’t agree with what’s happening. But a mutual hatred is hardly difficult to comprehend.

DP. The mutuality is difficult for me to understand. When you are displaced and brutalized, trying to fight back is understandable. It hasn't much helped the Palestinians, but I understand the reasoning. It's almost as if some Jews (Israelis and zionists) think Palestinians were responsible for the Holocaust - the hatred that many have for Palestinians is unwarranted and incomprehensible to me. Their hatred is overwhelmingly misplaced.

It would not be unreasonable for Israelis to have less than warm feelings toward the perpetrators of the October 7 massacre, namely, Hamas and its associates of that day.

How utterly privileged of Israelis to think this began on October 7th.

The October 7 massacre perpetrated by Hamas did indeed occur on October 7. It would not be unreasonable for Israelis to be concerned that Ha*** vowed to repeat it.

You cannot possibly be this bad at reading.

Not sure I follow. I am having a hard time with seeing how the Israelis murdered, raped, maimed, burned, and kidnapped on October 7 were privileged. Not sure what the “this” is.

Here's my comment again: "How utterly privileged of Israelis to think this began on October 7th."

The fact that you think the October 7th was the inauguration of things, makes it incredibly clear how privileged you are, to completely ignore the crimes, the persecution, the horrors, the trauma, and the displacement faced by Palestinians LONG, LONG, LONG before October 7th. October 7th was terrible, but it's a blip in the grand experience and terrorism inflicted BY Israel and ONTO Palestinians for many many decades.

I don’t think that the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust was a “blip.” And I have no idea what “the inauguration of things” even means.

This statement is a great example of ethnocentricism. They possess in-group bias and prioritize their group above all else even justifying wrong doing.

Zionism is ethnocentric and racist doctrine where the lives of Palestinians are essentially meaningless to those of Israeli settler colonists. Their words and actions consistently and unequivocally reflect this.

They need to rid the region of Hamas. Hamas is the reason the people are starving.

Nope. It's not, and you are complicit in spreading lies that are leading to people being killed. Israel is not letting any aid in. It's not being held by Hamas.

+1000

It's absolutely astounding how zionist ethnocentricism has made them blind to anything before October 7th.

DP. Sweetheart Netanyahu is not a victim - he indeed allowed it to happen, and leaked reports in Israeli media make it clear that getting the hostages back is their lowest priority. Hamas actually cares more about the hostages than Israel.

Yup, just another Pearl harbor with the added bonus of the Hannibal Doctrine to massacre your own citizens.

Anyone who has the least bit of critical thinking and knowledge of Israel's extensive history of killing its own people and allies knows better.

Uh, that was leaked by the IDF terrorists. The Israeli military and government don't give a shit about the hostages, by their own admission. At least Hamas was willing to negotiate. Israel doesn't care. It's why they broke the ceasefire.

This, times a million.

Plus, you might try releasing all those hostages you keep holding.

Israel has killed at least 20 hostages and endangered more than 54.

Some were shot with white flags and others were suffocated with chemical weapons. Israel repeatedly bombed areas known to be holding hostages according to Haaretz.
