Well great…? |
And I had potatoes for dinner. |
DP. I'm not sure those exist anymore. I booked extended day camps for my kids last summer every week because I didn't know which days would be in person months ahead of time, and it was really hard to find something. Harder than I would have thought. Almost everything was 8 or 9 until 3 or 4 for full day option. |
At least for tweens and teens you can do some carpooling and rely on HS or college students. With younger kids (5-9) camps start at 9:30 and end at 2:45 and kids can’t stay at home by themselves. |

This obsesssive troll won’t stop.
Charlie, is that you? |
If I were starting a summer camp right now, I know who I would cater the hours to |
| It would be a shame if people starting telling the WaPo about Trump political appointees who aren’t following their own RTO policies. |
| Does the EO apply to appointees? They are government employees. |
at my agency, appointees are 24/7 so it does not. it does apply to their staff. but im still going to ask them when they visit the divisions how they manage to spend 42.5 hours per week from their duty station so they can lie to my face. |
They can’t hire staff to work those extended hours. Same with daycares etc. other jobs pay better and are way easier than kids, and if the camps raise their rates, eventually it gets as expensive as just hiring a nanny to take your kids to the pool all summer, so no one goes to camp. |
You got that right. This OPM mf writing makes no sense. Anyone have any ideas or examples of qualifying medical condition? I have high cholesterol and prediabetic. |

If parents are back to work, then whose driving them or are you basically calling carpooling dumping your kids on a SAHM and not doing your 1/2? Nope. HS students have homework and after school activities? Are you planning to hand over your car keys to a new driver to drive your kids. Thats not smart. |
This response was specifically about the summer when US high school students do not have homework and activities every day. Our neighbor was a HS senior last year and did a great job taking care of my children and driving them around. As for carpool, if your child is a tween or teen then (11-18) they should be fine at home for a few hours by themselves and carpooling can be just that. I wrote most of this out very explicitly above. Your reading comprehension is not great. |
Thank you. Now from reading the first Jan 22 OPM memo, it requires full time telework unless approved by agency head and supervisor. Then this updated guidance states the certification is only needed for “other compelling need”. So this means I have a disability or qualifying medical condition and do not need approval to telework? I can continue to telework? Hurray. OPM such idiots… The medical condition list is very generous and I will pursue this coa. |
