| I am a poster who most definitely would have hopped all over an Ivy offer if given the opportunity. However, I disagree with the statement that going to MD is a poor choice. Again, we do not know peoples circumstances, hopes, dreams or goals. Who are we to judge their decision? |

So whatâs up with 2 Cap Blue girls going to FSU? Didnât see anyone from other top clubs listed here choosing FSU but I think the 2 top YJ teams had FSU commits right? So are these 2 Cap Blue girls some of best on team?
Is FSU supposed to quickly become a top team? Great coach? Itâs interesting because I grew up in south and had friends (not the brainiest) who went to FSU but itâs never a school you see DMV kids picking. It certainly has a storied football program. Very interesting itâs adding a wlax team and even more interesting that 2 Cap Blue girls chose it. |
| It will be a top ten school within 5 years and those girls will have a blast. Clemson was in the same boat and look at them already. Those girls will love it! |
|
Definitely not true. Especially when they donât need the money. If money is not a factor, many would turn down a mediocre state school for an Ivy. If money is a factor, then thatâs a different story |

This is a lacrosse forum. Not one offered.Maryland recruit in history has ever gone on to instead choose to play lacrosse at Columbia. You have no idea what you are talking about. We visited Columbia prior to undergrad. My kid had the opportunity to earn doctorate at Columbia. Declined. Would have chosen better public school options as well. People make choices for all sorts of reasons, not just because you think they're too poor. |
LOL. i am glad you told us your doctorate story. That is very helpful and relevant. Now everyone believes you!! |
Clemson- mean coach (look at the transfers OUT) and not even a top 50 school academically. |

That song, "Here We Go Again" by Whitesnake, keeps playing in my head.
A friendly PSA reminder---- https://www.facebook.com/...tid=K35XfP I copied this from the above link. It is a very healthy approach. Only a measly 3% of high school lacrosse players actually make it to play Division 1 in college. Seriously, let that sink in before you start tearing apart a family's choice or a player's decision to attend a particular school! âYou have to remember that everyone is coming from a different spot. Some folks will use the recruiting process to get into the best academic school possible, regardless of the money involved. For others, the main focus is lowering the cost of college as much as possible. Some families are focused on playing for the "best" lacrosse program they can play for. All these decisions are fine as long as they meet the family's needs. Trying to put your priorities onto other families' choices just doesn't make sense since everyone is coming from a slightly different place.â |

Don't bother. Zero transfers out, everybody's back. Clemson is bringing in one of the best classes in the country in 2025. They'll be able to build on that and reduce substantially the number of transfers they needed to bring in to start the program (which ramped up quickly after they announced the add). Which has already been happening. They also have invested more money into the program than anyone else in the country, they want it to be great. FSU hasn't shown that level of commitment yet. |
| FSU is no Clemson. |
You are correct. I just looked it up and it has an even lower acceptance rate. Coupled with football money I can absolutely see why girls would be thrilled to go there. Not sure why it was questioned. |
