Good data - although I Would imagine it is skewed based on the local students who stay in the are and work for wages that are not comparable to those in the NE or West Coast? Point being I don't think it is an apples to apples comparison for each student

. Future earning potential can be one factor these players and families are considering when they're making choices especially when it comes to their kid playing and pursuing a national championship/top 10 team versus high academic. It could even be the defining factor why somebody would pick high academics/Ivies over University of Maryland, UNC, BC, StonyBrook...

It's usually a couple hundred ex-students that fill out surveys and varies wildly depending on the source collection. I would certainly imagine it's directionally correct.

And that's also for the normies of the student body. There are large athletic department and sport specific alumni networks, with lacrosse especially having many high end employment networks. If you're smart, do well in school, and play lax you can kick start your career atvthe high end in any profession. The high end publics will have all the opportunities as anywhere else. Dicier but available as you go down.

Only a measly 3% of high school lacrosse players actually make it to play Division 1 in college. Seriously, let that sink in before you start tearing apart a family's choice or a player's decision to attend a particular school!

All good points I would add that for many even if cost is not an issue just don’t want to be at an Ivy. They would rather enjoy big school athletics etc. If those families are already financially set and can afford Ivy all the more reason to let their kid follow their dream and have a great experience? Just another perspective.

Absolutely! Each family/player needs to do what is best for them! So tired of posters picking/judging/criticizing players choices whether it's Ivy League or a big football school or a school close to home. They are part of the 3% to earn a unique opportunity to play D1 lacrosse in college!

Get a life. Elite D1 athletes at any of the listed 2026 committed schools - Ivy, Public, or other - regardless of school rank, will have exceptional opportunities. We get it - many of the bumper sticker obsessed helicopter parents really want to feel good about themselves for spending $350k for Susie to get the Ivy league degree. Good for you, but regardless of how many school rank websites or spreadsheets you link to, there are other great options and some people just aren’t impressed with someone simply b/c they went Ivy

Good call on the bumper stickers. I want to puke when I pick my daughter up from Capital practice. No one cares where your kid goes to high school or college. It’s obnoxious as are most of the parents.

Oh, come on! Now you're throwing shade at the bumper stickers of the other parents in the very same lacrosse club?
Really? You find them all so obnoxious, yet here you are with your own little athlete sporting the same colors. You must be the reigning queen of judgmental, hypersensitive, and just downright critical lacrosse moms! What's next, a critique on their choice of snacks?

Agreed.

I can't comment on snacks, but I am interested in the percentage of kids in the 26 class who got an OFFER (not just interest) from one of their top 3 target schools. Top 5 target schools? How much do you feel roster caps impacted the recruiting experience this year, and what do you think it will be like next year for the 27 class?

But you have a capital sticker. 😂
You are truly a moron
