His position that Trump is America’s Hitler?

When will you guys learn these posts aren’t believable? Republicans online love to pose as Dems voting for Trump but then lay it on way too thick. “I have exclusively voted for democrats since the 60s; I was an anti-war protestor who marched on Selma and in my spare time I volunteer at abortion clinics and my local mosque. That being said I will be voting for trump because I think trans girls shouldn’t play sports.” How stupid do you think we are?

But what is the point of these posts? Just to make it so irritating to be in this forum that we go away? Just to get us upset and riled up because lib tears r fun? I don't really get it. You're right, they are transparently fictional - but why?

Russ Douhat had a very revealing interview with Vance in The NY Times. Whatever your politics, it’s hard to argue that Biden, Harris, or Trump are nearly as smart or insightful as Vance, who offers nuanced, well formed answers to every question posed:

This guy seems like an actual intellectual, not a lightweight peddling cliches and poll tested talking points, which is refreshing.

The white liberal women activists in here still don’t get that vibes and optics far more that policy, and Vance and his cute Indian wife and their cute biracial kids are gonna be a huge boon for the campaign in the multiracial suburbs of DC, NY, Philly, etc. Think about how many votes having an actual Hindu woman on the ticket gets in places like Jackson Heights or how having just a brown woman who’s a daughter of immigrants plays with POC women who aren’t Black.

You can’t privilege identity politics on one hand and then act like her identity isn’t going to matter to some voters in November. In those swing states with multiracial suburban populations this will get you some numbers if played right.

That makes absolutely no sense when Kamala, half-Indian, half-Black, is on the Dem ticket.

There isn’t a Hindu woman on the ticket you dolt. Someone on the ticket is married to a hindu woman. Let me guess you think your husband’s accomplishments are yours because you clearly are not smart enough to have your own if you think one guy having cute kids will get the ticket to win in areas it otherwise wouldn’t.

You severely overestimate the intellect of people, and American voters specifically, if you think this is the case. We live in a democracy and most people are stupid. Full stop.

Trump got elected. Do you need any more proof than that?

Yes, and then people saw exactly what kind of dangerous moron he was and voted him out.

Now explain the Reagan landslide in 1984 and special needs case George Bush winning two terms.

People are dumb and care about “who to get a beer with” and “do I relate to / look like this person” more than policy, especially in the social media age.

They say they do, but don’t vote that way. Elizabeth Warren is a beer drinker, and Trump is a teetotaler. Bush once owned a baseball team. None of my neighbors do. I suppose many look like Trump and Bush, smarmy.

This is like saying Andrew Tate is VP so Black voters won’t want to vote in Wes Moore.

Talk is cheap. He would force his own wife or daughter to bear her rapist's baby. So intellectual! Such nuance! So insightful and well formed!

LOL so cute that you think that Trump is going to ride to the defense of his VP's wife. Have you learned nothing over the past decade?

DJT is more likely to say something offensive about her, than defend her honor.

Also Ross refused to say he wouldn't vote for Trump, when he was interviewed on The Bulwark podcast. He is rabidly anti-choice. Of course he liked JD Vance. They are two peas in a pod.

Not as intellectual as you say. Last week he was talking about "what is the first truly Islamist country that will get a nuclear weapon". And his conclusion?? "Maybe it's actually the UK - since Labor just took over". WTAF? Does he even read?

Vance is phonier than Trump or Cruz or Cotton or Alito, if that is possible. It’s all a con. They jump in front of the 200+ year old nativist and bigoted and ignorant right-wing movement and appoint themselves its leaders while turning it into a vehicle for yet more tax breaks and deregulation for the capitalist establishment.

Don’t forget married in Hindu ceremony, recently “converted” to Catholicism (he only, not his wife and kids), and Mr Catholic’s billionaire puppetmaster is a sodomite.
