A guy on a first date last night wore a sweater. Total turn off?

Did you expect him to show up topless?

It's pretty cold out. What should he have worn?

As opposed to what, exactly?
Anonymous
absolutely - he clearly doesn't respect you and value you like he should. You need to ghost him

My BF wore a nice sweater over a button down. Nice that he didn’t have a coat to keep track of the whole night while we moved from place to place.

I love a man in a sweater.

A sweater with a button down is my favorite men's outfit. My husband knows to wear that when we go on a date in the winter.

You sound crazy, OP. It's November.

You know you don't have to make up nonsense "dealbreakers" if you don't want to see someone again, right? If you're not interested, that's enough. You don't have to invent an imaginary breech of etiquette on his part that justifies denying him access to you. Just say "it was nice to meet you but I don't see this going any further."

As always with these questions, there's something else about him that you don't like so you're seeking an arbitrary deal breaker.

Move on.

It's not a turnoff for us. It is a turn off for you. That's what matters.
