As always with these questions, there's something else about him that you don't like so you're seeking an arbitrary deal breaker.

Move on.

THANK YOU for posting this PP. Needed that this afternoon.

This was the sweater! https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=593710012&pcid=999&vid=1&&searchText=Shawl-Collar#pdp-page-content

I don’t see the problem. If you dislike him for some other reason, just own it.

If a man wearing a sweater on a cold day is a dealbreaker for you...maybe food for thought about why you’re still single?

+1

Also, I looked at the link that OP posted, and I consider that sweater to be perfectly fine for a date.

OP, the sweater you posted is fine. What's the real story here? You seem very narrow-minded, yet insecure.

That sweater does not have a hood, dingbat.

I just posted a photo of Idris in a hoodie photo

I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to OP, who is trying to further shade the guy with an Old Navy link that doesn't even line up to her original complaint.

I would forgive any problems that this man presented. The leather toms jump out, but so do his biceps.

OP, about 20 years ago, the great Hank Stuever had a WaPo article about how unflattering those merino sweaters with a collar are for men's guts and man boobs. The best is that my boss happened to be wearing that exact outfit the day the article ran.

So it's probably his just body you hate, not his sartorial flare.

It was a thick one with a hood

My husband wears cashmere hoodies. They're neither cheap nor basic.

Ugly though. But nice to touch, I'm sure.

Neither are welder's helmets. But you wouldn't wear one on a first date, would you?
