I want to help elect the Dems but am very introverted. What administrative but useful tasks can I help with where I don’t have to deal directly with people? |

You can donate money. But unless you’re planning to move to Georgia and volunteer directly with a campaign, there’s not much in the way of “administrative” work you can do to help.
Text banking can be a good middle ground for people who don’t feel comfortable with the phone. |
Is there a Stacey Abrams GoFundMe account that I can donate some money to? I watched her show on Amazon Prime. Class valedictorian and Spelman graduate. She was speaking to large crowds in Washington DC fighting for black people for a long time. It's about time. |
Her org is fair fight. Give there. |
Donate to Stacey Abrams PAC, Fair Fight: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/fair-fight-1 The work they are doing is incredible and much needed. |
This is her org: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/fair-fight-1 https://fairfight.com/ This is her 3-way split between Ossoff, Warnock, and herself: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/georgiasenate |
Lots of ways here to help from out of state -
https://www.marieclaire.com/politics/a34618780/georgia-senate-runoff-election-ways-to-donate/ Make sure all your anti-trump friends in Georgia have registered to vote. |
Donate to the race. I read from Georgians on ground that phone banking from out of state actually hurt the race. Stacey Abhrams knows what she is doing. |
Can you say more about this? I phonebanked for other states; not sure how it hurt the GA race. |
I think that food-banking from out of state can hurt local races - that said I did phone-bank in Michigan (and have a Whitmer-esque Michigan accent) and just said - I am one of many Michiganders if have left the state b/c I couldn't get a job when I graduated. |
Southerner here - there's a feeling of resentment for outsiders (especially from the North) interfering in 'our' politics. I personally could care less but there it is. |
Unless you live in Georgia it's not your business. |
How do people know where you’re calling from? Surely phone bankers block their numbers from caller ID. I mean, no one hears my accent and thinks I’m from Georgia, but lots of people from Michigan sound just like people from Ohio (where I grew up). Now that I think about it, Stacey Abrams sounds a lot like me. |
DP, but sorry, there’s too much at stake for all Americans. The outcome will affect all of us. |
