You’re saying the poor Georgian shouldn’t have to feel the same way the majority of the country did when McConnell wouldn’t give Merrick Garland a confirmation hearing? Or the way half the country felt when Trump wasn’t removed from office by the Senate? Or the way the majority of Americans felt when McConnell did nothing about badly needed covid relief because he was too busy ramming ACB‘s confirmation through at the last minute? This isn’t about feelings. It’s about the wellbeing of the US.

No, I don’t think the people of Georgia are ignorant. I think their governor is untrustworthy. I think Stacey Abrams has empowered a lot of people who felt powerless before. I think the outcome in Georgia will have significant ramifications for all Americans. I think I’m going to donate now.

Actually, I heard that they need volunteers to coordinate the GOTV texting/phonebanking efforts...so I think there is opportunity. Unfortunately, though, I don't know who to ask. Maybe sign up to volunteer with one of the Senate campaigns and in the comments box let them know what you'd like to do? This was definitely an option with the Biden campaign.

I think Montgomery County and Prince Georges County should secede from Maryland so that the new State of Columbia can have some suburbs and a few token farms just like Rhode Island. And since Rhode Island has dropped it's pretentiously long name, this new state should be called, The Commonwealth of the District of Columbia, Prince Georges and Montgomery Farms. Because, by tradition, a little state should have a long name.
