It’s time to invoke it. He is a threat to our democracy and we cannot wait until January to see what further damage he will do to our country. Full stop. Any person who disagrees after his statement just now is also a traitor to our country as far as I’m concerned. Republican lawmakers need to shut this down. |
That was bat-sh!t crazy and dangerous. |
Assume Trump will try as hard as he can to rile up his armed militia supporters to do something batcrap crazy. |
I agree. I’m terrified of what he’ll do during a lame duck session. |
Why don’t they invoke it? They know he’s a loser so why don’t they invoke it? |
I really, really, REALLY don't like Trump but up to this point, I've tried to not get too involved in overly emotional reactions to him but this time, I agree 100% with OP. He is a real threat to this entire country. |
The only way I think the GOP Senators would invoke it is if they think his antics are putting their majority in jeopardy when it comes to the 2 GA special elections.
So the best move for the Dems is to plaster GA with ads about this crap (assuming Biden wins the election). The ads need to say “Trump is dangerous and the GOP is doing nothing about it.” That *might* convince McConnell to pull the trigger on the 25th. |
He....cannot....accept....defeat/failure. Period.
No one is going to step in to help us. No one. It is what it is. |
I’m starting to think that this may happen. I think they’ll first try to talk to him privately, followed by urging him publicly. They can’t invoke the 25th now because his delusional supporters will go buck wild. |
I missed it. What did he say? |
Perhaps he is acting crazy purposely, so Pence has to take over and THEN Pence can pardon him? |
Please share a link. I’ve missed the past 2 hrs. |
+1 |
That’s a logical thought but I think 1) trump isn’t that smart 2) his ego is too large to act in such an embarrassing way on purpose |
