Gee I’m so glad sports matter soooooo much but not school. We are an effed up country. |
Will that mean rec sports will also get to use the gyms? |
How stupid!! |
Great. Our numbers support this.
Schools need to open too. Now. |
Good question. I could see them restricting access now that they are going to have the school athletes in there. |
From what I heard rec sports in the FCPS area aren't running because they wouldn't let them in - at least this was true of basketball. Don't know if it will make a difference, but in some ways I find it inconsistent. High school athletes can play for their scholarships, but kids who are currently using outdoor sports as a big part of their in-person socialization and exercise don't get to. Families don't get to decide for themselves if they are comfortable with that risk. |

It's a little early to complain about inconsistency. This is a new change. Let things shake out. |
And yet clubs still cannot meet in person. The jocks get TJ see each other, but nerds are stuck on BBC. |
I hope not. |
Yup. ‘Murica! |
Schools can open too. They were given the green light before sports. Just because they can doesn’t mean they will. |
Clubs could meet, but they aren’t meeting here. Just because sports will be allowed to go ahead doesn’t mean the district will give the ok. |
Yes, if the school facilities are open then fcps must allow permits for community use. That’s my understanding. |
