Loved it! One of the best Netflix original series I have seen.

The orphanage seemed okay. If Beth was going to just bang the chalky blackboard erasers together to clean them then why didn't she do it outside rather than in the boiler room? Will there be a sequel? Will she quit chess at age 22 like Paul Morphy?

Unbelievable show. I loved so much about it, but the best part was her acting. Highly recommend and a good show for a mature teenager.

One book, one season. Loved it so much! Could watch the last half hour over and over!

Thought it was great. NYT gave it a so-so review, but it's WRONG! The show was mesmerizing start to finish. I binged it because I could not stop watching. Great performances, great costumes, great sets, direction, everything. Script was great. Really, I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed a movie about a game I know nothing about: Chess!!

I thought it was fabulous.

I binged it - and I have only ever binged one series before. Just couldn’t stop watching it and finished it in a day.

I was shocked that the actor who played Beltik was Dudley from Harry Potter. He really slimmed down!

It is quite clearly marked as a "limited" series. That means no. It's based on one book and we hit the end of the story. Preferable to dragging something out season after season long after its died.

But I agree, it was excellent.

I've been watching it (almost through the last episode) but I find it kind of...boring? It's beautiful and so is the main actress, but I just can't get into it! (Yet I still have spent 7 hours on it, oh well...)
